I've just walked from Torquay to Brixham and it's rougher and harder than you would think!! So I needed a pint in a good old real ale pub.....but it wasn't. No real choice apart from the usual Tribute. Jail ale was out, so had a John Smith. Not the the friendliest of greetings but it was better than going in the 2 modern dull pubs The Bullers Arms and the Prince William further around the harbour....Cheer up!!
Myself and family popped into this pub for a beer on our New Years holiday. Would definitely not recommend this pub. Was made to feel very unwelcome. We had 4 well behaved children with us who were made to feel very uncomfortable. The elderly bar person was rude and very unwelcoming. Will never return. If your are a nice family give your money to someone else. Avoid !!!!!
We popped into the Sprat & Mackerel pub in Brixham a couple of times during our holiday in Brixham. It is a nice traditional pub and we enjoyed chatting to the bar staff and soaking up the atmosphere.

Great little 'proper' pub right on Brixham harbour. Just been taken over by a really nice young guy called Chas. We are first time visitors to Brixham and if all the locals are this friendly, we'll definitely be back. Come on everyone, this young lad deserves a chance!! Get on down there and have a beer with him. You might not get what you asked for, but that's part of the fun!!! Good luck, Chas.
Very welcoming pub. Great place to sit and people watch overlooking the harbour. Knocked a star off due to some beers/ lager not being available but not their fault because of lack of deliveries due to no drivers.
My Father 91yrs in a wheelchair and I were made most welcome and were well looked after. Really enjoyed our drinks and our time there.
What a gem of a pub. Found this today on a boat trip to Brixham the lady who served us was excellent the pint was the best we have ever had really . Will be back thank you for being so polite and friendly
Love this place. Very welcoming, great live music. Kerry is fantastic landlady. Will be back again.
Great location, good atmosphere, reasonable prices. The food was not exceptional, but it hit the spot after a bracy walk along the seafront nonetheless. The chef had run out of vegetable lasagne but offered to accommodate the vegetarians in our party by putting together a mushroom stroganoff. Friendly service.
