Located in a high density area, this restaurant doesn't disappoint. The access it is a bit weird as they are located on the first floor of some old building, but the space it is nice, arranged, and feels nice. The staff is well trained and friendly. The food is basic English food, roast, grill, baked, fried, but cooked quite well. Well done, chefs! If you order oysters and you like them as they are, remember to tell the waiter not to put chive oil. For me, it is messing up the taste. Overall, I recommend it. Book it in advance as the place it is quite crowded.
Always been a fan of Roast and recently tried their Market Menu. It was superb and such good value. Staff were attentive, food quality was great. Brought our toddler and baby and they were super accommodating. Space for stroller, high chair for toddler as well as Colouring book to keep her busy! Good selection of food choices and of course, great atmosphere and location. Tried their afternoon tea a few times before which is always great but their savoury food dishes are great too! Love the flower ceiling decor!
I wondered why this place only scores 4.0 on Google? Went there yesterday for a client lunch for 4. The place looks really good but feels slightly too relaxed and a touch chaotic and not as sharp as I would have thought. The food, however, was amazing, and 3 of us had the Roast beef, and we all agreed we had never had better. My friend who had the pork was equally impressed. The roast potatoes were crunchy and delicious and 10/10! The sides of creamed spinach, pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese were all plentiful and very tasty. However, I like lots of gravy, so I asked for an extra small jug. When i got the bill, I was amazed to see they had charged me £1 !! They added 15% over £40 for service but an extra £1 for a little extra gravy. That is petty and left a sour taste to be honest and in my humble opinion is a big mistake!!.
What a beautiful spot in Borough Market! This was my first time trying beef Wellington, and it was absolutely one of the best dishes I’ve ever had—so delicious! The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were incredibly nice and attentive. A special shoutout to the Brazilian lady with dog tattoos on her arm—she was an absolute delight! She made us feel so special, bringing out a small cake and singing happy birthday to my boyfriend of course, I joined in!. This thoughtful gesture truly warmed our hearts and made the day unforgettable. We’re so grateful for your wonderful hospitality!
Stunning decor and lots of seating which can cater for large groups. Food is on the more expensive side but perhaps good option for business/client lunches. Most dishes do not come with any sides as standard so be prepared to spend a reasonable amount more. Cocktails were well presented. Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian options. Just the cauliflower steak from A La carte menu
Probably the best roast beef dinner I've ever had. Absolutely cooked to perfection. Fresh vegetables, delicious roast potatoes, topped off with a massive Yorkshire pudding. Dessert was perfection & the cocktails divine. Roast is my new favourite place. I've rebooked again to try the afternoon tea.
Roast has been one of our favorites stops in London for over 15 years. Situated in the heart of Borough market, it is easy to get to and the food is fantastic. The Beef Wellington with truffled mash pictured here was absolutely delightful. I highly recommend you giving Roast a try!Food: 5/5
Coming here was truly one of the best experiences I had while visiting London. The staff was attentive and welcoming the entire time. The views while dining here were also breathtaking. But, mostly importantly, the food was delicious! Everything served with the Sunday roast tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. I couldn't help but order the sticky toffee pudding to end my meal, which was just as impressive. Would highly recommend a visit to Roast!
I visited Roast for there Spring Garden Afternoon tea the floral setting is spectacular with the most beautiful interiors. We opted for the vegetarian option as they don't do Halal meat, but have vegan and gluten free option. The tea and mocktails tasted amazing. I really enjoyed the sweet treats as compared to the savoury items. But overall great atmosphere.
We recently visited Roast in Borough Market for a Halloween-themed afternoon tea. The atmosphere was beautifully festive, with Halloween decorations that created a lovely seasonal vibe. However, the experience had some disappointments. We waited around 40 minutes for our food, and our tea and champagne were served well before the food arrived. I had to ask for a fresh, hot tea by the time our food came, though they did kindly replace it. While the ambiance was charming, the timing of the service fell short of expectations, leaving room for improvement to match the premium experience promised.
