Story

Opened in May 2011, Riverside Health Club is the most exclusive and enjoyable place to improve your health and well being.

Situated in the lovingly restored Old Groundworks Trust building we have the perfect setting for you to improve your health and well-being.

We have top of the range, state of the art Technogym® equipment with built-in smart TV screens; two personal training rooms featuring Kinesis and Powerplate training, a specialist free weights only room and two dedicated class studios, our expert Spin Studio and our creative Dance and Fitness Studio.

Once you've finished your workout you can access our modern Male and Female changing rooms which include all the necessities you'll ever need. Luxurious sauna and steam room, showers, lockers, hairdryers and straighteners. We also have a state of the art Sunbed room.

Our staff are all fully qualified, professional and friendly. They will give you all the support and advice you'll ever need.

We specialize in offering a variety of memberships to cater for all. We offer standard peak and off peak memberships, Student memberships and corporate membership packages.

About two years working out on this gym. Here you can get everything you need to get in shape and change your life. Lovely place with, calm environment, friendly people and great members of staff. Just do it!
Wouldn't recommend, went to pay my months membership and my card was taken off me which I assumed they was just taking the details , I didn't even know I was signing up to a direct , but after checking my bank about a week or so later I seen a direct debit coming out, after cancelling my membership a few months later, I was told I needed to pay another thirty days membership not at any stage was I given instruction to give 30 days notice. I've since had numerous emails chasing me for money after being in "arrears" also saying I haven't given a valid reason for cancelling my membership. My card was taken off me and I assumed he was just taking the details, but no a direct debit was set up without my permission. I think the service offered from this "premium gym" is appalling, chasing payments for memberships for the following months now over a year via a debt collecting company for a facility of which I haven't used at all.
Certain staff members can be pushy if you are there in the last hour and also close the suana earlier so they can go home early. Another down side is the closing times, 8pm on Friday and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday 2 pm, the times can be inconvenient. People will leave once the the Thrive gym opens in Rawtenstall.
Decent friendly gym in a nice location with good parking. Prices ok and kit good, all in a quirky building overlooking the Irwell. Closes a bit early for Manchester workers but otherwise wirth a look.
What is happening at the Riverside gym ,I haven't been there for a month ,went today ,it seems to be run down , toilet didn't work inform the respection nothing was done ,machines out of order , clocks not working ,panes of glass smashed , cobwebs , I'm sorry but I'm going elsewhere
Great gym. Very busy and can get cramped at times but equipment is top notch and staff are great and is very clean and plenty of parking too
Good gym, friendly staff, well equipped, lots of parking. The men's changing room needs a lick of paint but otherwise not bad.
Great health club... friendly staff, good equipment and facilities I see Paul Bar one of the personal trainers there, he’s great would definitely recommend ..
Super chill environment, never too busy and everything you need for an effective workout
