Came here with the husband for the first time, heard so many good reviews about it.nnWas impressed by how lovely the place was, we hasn't booked but they were able to squeeze us inn, the service was lovely they all keen to help us out.nnWhen our food came, I was surprised on delicious it all was! Disappointing food. Ordered the special lunchtime menu,£23.50. I've had better garlic mushrooms, just ok nothing special. Chose garlic butter and rosemary chicken fillets and chips and only got chicken fillets in an oil, no rosemary, and chips, but no salad or veg, very basic. Other half got a chicken Kiev pizza which was tasty but he's had better. A semi-freddo type chocolate mousse for desert which was fine. Drinks expensive, £10 for an aperitif, price wasn't on menu... When bill came to table I should have looked at it better as they'd added a10% service charge and the waitress never mentioned it so there was an extra £7. 33 to pay. Only noticing when I'd left the restaurant and it said optional on the bottom of receipt! Food overpriced for what you get. You get a lot more for your money at other Italians, especially at lunchtime for half the price. There is no reason to add a service charge. We're not in America. The establishment should say its optional instead of being underhand. I'll not be returning.
A warm and friendly welcome upon arrival, then shown to a comfortable booth which was ample space for our party of 5, food was outstanding India our server was very friendly and attentive whilst not being intrusive as we were enjoying our meal.nThe restaurant has stylish and modern decor, a very relaxed atmospherennI.would highly recommend a visit!!!
I would like to say thank you to Nic and Debora who served us on the 25th of January for my mums 60th birthday. We had a wonderful experience, Fratelli’s Restaurant had the food, atmosphere and quality I was wanting for such an event and from the outside you don’t expect much and then you’re nicely surprised on entry. The food was delicious and not a bad word was said from any of the 7 people who attended, I believe it was compliments all around. We will definitely come again and my mum loved her 60th birthday experience here.
