We had a fantastic stay at Rigg House a few weeks ago! The house is so cosy and friendly, a big warm fire and the cutest two children greeted us as soon as we walked in. We stayed for 2 nights, only booked 1 originally but we were so impressed and the weather was fantastic. Our room was lovely with feather down pillows and duvet, plus a great shower. My fry up was delicious on both days, but my favourite thing of all was relaxing in the living room with a good book. It's unusual to find owners so welcoming yet also happy to leave you be to enjoy the tranquillity. We are already looking to book in again soon, I've seen that Rigg House now serve dinner as well as breakfast so expect us back in no time to take full advantage of that!!

I spent a few days at Rigg House B&B a couple of weeks ago. From the moment I turned down the drive I was smitten. Jay and Alice were absolutely wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble - details of day trips, board games beside the fire, and welcoming my little dog Luna with open arms. We stayed in the Thistle Suite which was super tasteful, warm and cozy. Bedding was very high quality and shower hot - both important points on my list. The view outside the window was divine - rolling fields and sheep and at night a ton of stars. Even with a full house we didn't hear a peep of noise. Jay whipped up a great breakfast and the coffee was good, not a sniff of Nescafe in sight! Some lovely little boutique details; the gift shop, home-made flapjacks, and adorable family vibes. We spoke about Burns who apparently was friends with the former My Rigg and used to stay here often. In the days we visited the strange and wonderful Multiverse close by and headed up to Wanlock Head ( the highest village in Scotland), we also went to a castle on the coast close by. Scotland is such a beautiful country and these little gem like B&B's truly add to the experience. Thanks so much to Jay and Alice for making us feel like old friends the second we stepped through the door.

A great warm welcome fantastic breakfest and friendly hosts. Views to die for excelent will go back again.
