I had the same experience as Alec but then had a call back after the 3rd message.  Very nice person on the phone who had booked us in from the previous calls so all ok.  Will post again after staying there as the one star may very  well not be representative of the site.

Have been unable to speak to anyone despite having left 3 messages over 10 days with no reply. Sent the application form off via email, again no response. Will book somewhere else as experience of simply booking the site has been comical!

A very friendly helpful reception. You can purchase fresh in the morning, coffee, hot chocolate and croissants .  Overall the campsite is very clean all pitches are level, toilet and shower block very clean and free showers! In a very nice quiet area and I would definitely recommend the site. So much so we are staying there again this weekend.

Stayed there lastnight, we arrived late and they were accommodating. Showers and toilet clean. Very peaceful.

A very back to basics site, but then this is reflected in the price.  It is peaceful and quiet, flat, picturesque and in a great area for walkers/cyclists.  I went out of season with my husband and son.  For me the only let down was that the freezer is in the shop/reception which out of season (and according to some regulars a tad sketchy during the season) is closed until the owner pops in the following morning.

Freezer box + warm ice blocks = warm beer.

The shower blocks are no frills, but the showers are hot and the sinks and loos work.  It's just not a place for the arachnophobe or entomophobe!

If your thing is noisy sites where you can party till late, have a club house and things for the kids to do then this isn't for you.  If you like peace and quiet and enjoying the sheer beauty of our countryside, then it is....(and you're a hardened camper)
