This statue is located in front of Saint Ann’s church. Richard Cobden was a businessman, a liberal politician and a traveller. He’s known for his extensive traveling before the railway was invented. His most expeditions were on horses and on ships when he visited Spain and neighbouring countries. He died to bronchitis in the late nineteenth century.
A statue in St. Ann's Square Manchester. Quite hard to see the inscription which is just "Cobden" with no further information. I suppose that's what Google is for!
