We have been taking our dog since she was a puppy and no issues. All the vets we have seen have been lovely and very good with our dog. The receptionists have all been lovely also. It is costly but what vets aren’t. We will remain with this vets for sure.
Most of the staff are great. Some not so much. Have a few incidents of miscommunication as to where prescriptions will be collected or where appointments should be, when they have been told of my preferred choice but then make it at a different branch without telling me, only to find my preferred branch closed at appointment time, or prescriptions not there. The vets are the same, one in particular I don't have a great deal of confidence in but the others I've seen are fine.
I use to have a cat but it died of old age, they looked after her so so well I am really thankful.
Exceptional service. Would highly recommend. Vet Phil Masse was Super! We are a small holding and unfortunately needed an emergency call-out to our Cow 'Sage' recently. Phil was with us quickly, was very knowledgeable and very caring. Great lovely manner. Sage is 100% better now and only here today because of Phil's and Ribble Vets quick actions. Big thanks from Sage, her calf Xyla, Sister Thyme, and the Maddox family.
Seems like all emergency vets have pound signs in their eyes when they see you coming. £160 if you are registered at the practice to see a vet out of hours, £260 if you are not registered. I'm not sure what that £100 bought me, rudeness maybe. I called as I was visiting my mother who lives 5 minutes away and it was an emergency situation. Receptionist was very rude on the phone and in person, until they were taking payment. I was thinking of registering with them after recommendations from family previously. They also registered my dog as a miniature dachshund when she's a miniature schnauzer. If you work in a vets surely you would know your breeds? Avoid at all costs!
Visited the Vets in Penwortham for routine vaccinations - very clean and professional with a separate waiting area for cats. Vet took her time to check my cat carefully, give the injections and also arranged for a minor trim too. Advise given on a specific brush with no hard sell either... very happy with the service.
The care of Ruby has been fantastic. Can't thank the team enough.they saved her life after she collapsed on a walk.
I arrived at vets at 15:09 - they called me at 16:33. They didn't even notice I had left after 1.5 hours. I would not recommend this vets. The building is nice to look at during long waits though.
We have just transfered to this vets as sadly didn't feel my other vets giving a good service since being taken over. Well so glad l did. Sadly this week l l had to have our old lady PTS ...what gentle care was taken with her and us ...the vet and nurse were very very kind . Amazing xxx
We called this practice last night due to it being a 24 hour vets, and our Toy Poodle had fallen extremely ill and the first receptionist I spoke to agreed that he needed to be seen urgently. This isn’t our normal vets, however with it being an emergency we needed him seen ASAP and this practice is the closest to us. When I called back to confirm that we will be coming down for the appointment, I spoke to a different receptionist this was around 10pm and she was extremely rude. They REFUSED to see us simply due to being registered with another vets. I didn’t know it was legal to refuse treatment for an animal and a paying customer. Definitely are not following their duty of care protocol. This made an already stressful and upsetting situation MUCH worse and I am absolutely appalled at what was said to us and the way we were spoken to. Clearly do not care about animal welfare or customer satisfaction. I had previously heard good things about this vets, but I am now very disappointed and would AVOID at all costs. Luckily our boy was seen elsewhere, and was treated amazingly and is on the mend, but it took us a lot longer to get him the treatment he needed due to the awful service from this vets. We should have been told on the initial phone call that you didn’t want to see us, rather than wasting our time getting ready and only being told when we called back to confirm etc.
