Good food, reasonably priced particularly in the outside booth. Helpful & knowledgeable staff. More unusual gifts are available although some are quite expensive but if you want something classy & different then the shop is ideal. The meat & deli counter has top quality produce from their own farm - they will even advise the best way to cook things ... perfect.

A little on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. If you care about organic produce as I do then this place is a must visit. Excellent shop and restaurant lots of choice. The takeaway counter is great too if you're in a hurry and fancy a quick lunch.

Lovely food, cheerfully served at the restaurant. It isn’t cheap but it is quality. The shop is lovely too with plenty of nice things but again, not cheap. I’d suggest always checking what you can find the the local Co-op as they have the same chutneys but you aren’t paying for the surroundings.

Called in to the restaurant to enjoy what appeared to be an appetising breakfast. Walked into the empty restaurant at 11.29 to be greeted by a very friendly and welcoming member of staff. We said that we wanted breakfast. As she passed us the menu another member of staff walked over and ignoring us told the girl that they were starting the lunch menu. There was no compromise the embarrassed girl had to take back the menus. The cut off time for breakfast was 11.30. We might have understood this decision had the restaurant been full or if there was a queue forming for lunch, however, the uncompromising refusal left us at a loss for words. We will reserve our custom for the country cook cafe 10mins up the road where they put themselves out for customers and do not treat us as an inconvenience.

We stopped for the bison...were not expecting the rest of this really high quality gift emporium. Our food was absolutely amazing. The service from all staff was friendly and efficient. The on screen doccy detailing the history was brilliant. We will certainly be back.
