Conned out of £10 here - I handed over a £20 note to buy 1 drink and only got a £5 note back with change. Guy denied doing anything wrong despite my protest that I handed over a £20 note. This was a couple of years ago so hopefully that con artist doesn't work there any more. Otherwise a nice friendly place.
Always a first stop when visiting Edinburgh. Had to cancel August, 2020 visit, but rebooked for the 2nd weekend in August, 2021. Alan is a joyous barkeeper. Hold on.....the vaccinated, card-carrying, hordes will be arriving by Spring. In the meanwhile, enjoy Hogmanay. What a hoot that was! Oh, the stories
Really cute little gay bar with a good selection of local ale and whisky! Very happy with this find!
My boyfriend and I loved this place! Especially after walking around all day this was a great bar with a cozy atmosphere. Comfortable seating and relaxed feel makes this a great place for having drinks and a good conversation with friends. A great place to hang out and sit back. Will be back for sure to try the food!

Very well located, near the London road, Carlton Hill and Parliament, Regent bar's staff are extremely friendly and welcome all their guest with a big smile. The kitchen is open from morning to evening and the quality is very good. Decoration is good and seats are confortable, ideal for a nice chat with friends
