On the 26th and tonight, 27th of September 2022 our meals were absolutely delicious.. Last night's meal was large Full Rack BBQ Ribs, and tonight was 7oz Gammon Steak, and Signature Half Rotisserie Chicken and Camembert and Cherry Tomato Tart served with salad bar.. The service was Top notch..
Great service, Tash our server was excellent. Due to current supply issues the menu was somewhat limited but luckily the vegetarian options were not affected by this. Food was fine and as expected, was nice to have a decent choice of vegetarian food. Reasonably priced menu and nice well kept dining area.
We usually visit Harvester restaurants when we travel with kids and they are always very reliable and consistent. This one sorry to say was awful. Waited ten minutes to be seated- there was not a single staff member to be seen anywhere during this time. When the food came both burgers were stone cold. The cold bacon inside them was just mostly fat and inedible. Couldn't complain or ask for them to be changed as no staff members were to be seen for so long that we gave up and just ate them anyway as we were very hungry. Kids wanted dessert - their favourite was unavailable just like the baked potatoes they had wanted for the main course. The cheesecake ordered by the adults tasted like it had just been defrosted - very hard , cold, and low quality and I left mine . The baby change/ disabled toilets had no toilet paper. The ladies had no soap in most of the containers. Finally. one plate ordered was for an allergy sufferer and included extra food that hadn't been ordered. Normally not an issue but those with allergies should have extra care to make sure their plate is as ordered. Very disappointing visit and not up to usual Harvester standard.
Staff are lovely although there are not enough, so they are stretched, meaning service is slow at busy times. Food is pretty standard, but varied menu, useful for lots of fussy eaters in your group. All you can eat salad is helpful for keeping costs down.
The main meal was nice, but it was served with the wrong accompaniment. The salad bar was basically empty the whole time I was there, the restaurant was clearly understaffed so wait times were long. We moved to the bar after our meal but left quickly as there was a very loud drunken group who were not asked to settle down. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, though some were sold out
We have been staying in Gloucester over the Easter period, and decided to make a visit to the Redgrove Harvester, we booked a table, we were warmly greeted, and sat down immediately, the food was cooked and presented well, the food was also very good, our waitress was Sharon who was lovely. Overall a good visit, HOWEVER, on arrival at the restaurant we had to walk through the predictable fog of the smokers outside the main door, and the walk too and entrance area outside the restaurant was covered in cigarette butts and made the entrance really uninviting, this should be locked at. As we don't live in the area we won't be returning. Parking: OK but watch out for the dodgy characters from the Travelodge hotel that we saw there
Food took an hour and a quarter to arrive which takes a special kind of kitchen considering it's just chicken and chips. Apparently the manager didn't think it would be busy when the restaurant is offering 50% off, so the kitchen was incredibly backed up. The 6 P's definitely weren't implemented here. Lesson learnt I suppose by management to get more staff in the kitchen on busy nights. Surely that's day one week one of management training though.
'Cash' was our waitress and she was amazing from start to finish!. She was welcoming and efficient bringing our drinks quickly and taking our order. She was attentive to our needs and we had a great meal. Thanks Cash, we'll be coming back soon!Food: 5/5
There was a delay in getting our mains though about an hour as the order disappeared off the system. Cash, our waitress noticed and was very apologetic. We said these things happen and after about 10 minutes our food came. It was very good and hot. As an act of goodwill, we were given dessert for free, despite not making a fuss or asking for it. This was very kind.
Waited 10 min at the bar, then was seated as we had booked only to be told a limited menu no mixed grills ultimate or standard no combo and after ordering a fifth choice,no sources as there is a supply problem, no english mustard! thankfully we never take friends or family anymore, when they get it right it's good but unfortunately more often than not its not and we use it as its local but often drive elsewhere Parking: Ok,
