Redgrave Sports Centre is a Sports and Fitness Centre at Great Marlow School.

Story

The Redgrave Sports Centre was opened by five time Olympic Gold Medal winner, Sir Steve Redgrave on Thursday 9th May 2013.

It marked an important period in the history of Great Marlow School as staff can remember talk of the new Sports Centre as far back as 1993.

The wait has been worthwhile as Marlow now has a state of the art multi sports and fitness centre which not only enhances the quality of the PE departments programme for pupils of the school, but also creates an opportunity for the local community to take part in a wide variety of activities with access to all of the sports facilities and the fitness suite.

The centre boasts a brand new full size floodlit all weather pitch suitable for hockey and football as well as 6 tennis courts, three of which are also used for netball, and a large outdoor basketball court. There will also be high quality grass fields incorporating full sized football and rugby pitches as well as youth football pitches completed as the final part of the project in summer 2014.

Indoors you will find a 4 court sports hall suitable for a wide range of indoor sports and a fantastic state of the art fitness centre equipped with the very latest equipment and technology provided by Technogym. The fitness centre includes a fully loaded audio/visual system allowing you to watch a wide range of tv channels or listen to radio channels while you work out as well as having full ipod and iphone connectivity and internet access. The strength range is Technogyms pioneering Kinesis range as well as a very well equipped free weights section.

Alongside the fitness centre is a large dance studio equipped with a range of studio and exercise equipment for group exercise classes and dance groups.

To top it all off, the centre is managed by a highly qualified and experienced team of staff who are on hand to provide all our customers, staff and pupils with the highest standars of service and assistance with all of your activity needs.
