Went when it was quieter. Pleasant enough facilities but shocking service. 6 main meals ordered. Two arrived after everyone else had finished. Printer problem meant the order went through as two separate orders. When last meals arrived, they were tough, dry and burnt at the edges. Would have returned it other than it was later and we needed to get going. Manageress very apologetic and partial refund given. The service at the table wasn't great either. Overall poor experience but could have the potential to be much nicer.

Basic room, warm and clean, but quite dark (small window) and interior lighting was awful. Check-in at the bar was inconvenient, lots of walking about just so they can save some money on not having a receptionist in the accommodation block. Breakfast was a shambles. I got there just at 7am, and only one other person there. I sat by window, but ended up waiting a long time to order because 10 other people were sitting closer to the kitchen by the time she came out. Poor woman running around by herself trying to serve everyone and seemed very stressed. I ended up just having Bran Flakes™ and orange because I didn't have time to wait. Others were getting annoyed at the amount of time it was taking. Seems like the owners are running the staffing at the absolute lowest limit to save money, but it makes the whole experience very poor. I wouldn't be rushing back.

Had a delicious great value for money carvery here today. Meat lovely and tender with a choice of Ham Turkey or roast beef (2 slices for my small plate) and many choices of vegetables with Yorkshire pudding . All nice and hot. Friendly and helpful staff.

Went for family dinner. I was planning on the mixed grill but it wasn't available. We got 3 medium carvery and a fish and chips. The food was very good apart from the potatoes which where very dry. We all had a dessert and was amazing, kids brownie and ice cream was such a small portion but with 3 large bits of cake it worked out ok. Good value for money and kids happy as it has a play area.

Carvery had ran out of turkey, cash payment only due to card system being down. Really slow service
