Really good for a meal, great staff, plenty of tables, and nice carvery.
Fairly standard pub fayre, but at the better quality end of the spectrum. Extremely friendly staff made our short stay very pleasant, and food was served very quickly. We had a chicken and bacon Caesar salad and a tuna mayo jacket potato, both good sized portions, followed by a millionaire cheesecake which we shared. Excellent value, would be happy to return and recommend to others.
Not the greatest of carveries. Not enough veg choices, there was only carrots, cauliflower and sprouts, roast potatoes weren't done as roast, looked like they'd been done in the air fryer, mash was dry, the turkey wasn't cooked properly. You get more choice for the same price from primrose and it's much better there. Service was fine though
We turned up here on a Sunday evening with a grumpy toddler so expected the worst during carvery time. We ordered off the normal menu and the food was delivered to the table quickly 15 mins or so and was piping hot. Everything was well cooked and tasty, genuinely can't fault it at all. The soft play won it for us, they closed at 7pm and staff were polite when clearing out - something I imagine can be difficult at times! Overall a nice place to have a family meal and tire out your children!
Nice family pub, been here a few times. Food has always been served hot and never had to wait too long. Good selection on the menu if you dont want the carvery. Staff are very helpful and polite. Can get very busy when the rugby or football are on but that is expected but you can book a table in advance if you want to order food.
the food is not bad but they struggle with large groups. the manager was flustered taking orders for 10 people and they ended up sending a few wrong orders that had to be sent back and some ended up being overcooked. waiting staff were lovely though and quickly sorted the mistakes. it’s a clean, quiet family pub and would go back, just maybe not with a big group!
The worst meal I’ve had in a long time. I found 2 pieces of plastic in my food, when I reported to staff I just got told oh sorry it’s from when they changed over the cauliflower cheese. My gammon was as dry as a boot and the food in general was just vile. I’ve never known a family pub have 4 bouncers on the door and only serve plastic cups. You must of lived a very sheltered life if you think this is a nice place to eat.
Absolutely love this place always a friendly welcome from staff. We usually call in before or after going to the cinema. Aside from the reasonably priced food being excellent.... on Thursday was pub quiz night ! What a great atmosphere and a great night.
Great happy, friendly service. & the food was amazing. Very well priced to! I'll 110% be back. This place has improved sooooo much!
We came in on Monday for food, was served on the bar by a lovely young lady Rachel. She was well mannered. All the other staff was working very hard to and the restaurant was very clean and welcoming, we will deffo be returning.
