Good local pub owned by Greene King. Usually quite busy on an evening. Good selection of beers and other drinks. Always something going on with various quizzes, bingo, pool nights, live music etc - check their website for a list of whats on. Live sports shown on the TV. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
The location itself is fine. It's a spacious enough pub. The only downside is one of the staff members hates Irish folk and makes it well known. Will be avoiding this place in future. Your job is to pour drinks, not get political.
I've been going in the red lion pub for years and never experienced a problem with any member of staff or manager....but since the new manager alan took over the pub the atmosphere is shocking....he's drinking behind the bar even I've witnessed it myself filling a can of red bull up with JJ WHITLEY....tbh my views on alan the manager he's in the wrong job
First time I have been here, staff very nice even got chatting to a local who made me very welcome, watching the live footie enjoying a very nice pint, all in all a nice couple of hours
Great pub with screens everywhere for sport plus front and rear beer gardens. Lots of comfortable seating and nice toilets as well. No vaping allowed, which is a shame. Maybe could just advise people not to take the mick with it and consider others. Not a deal breaker, though. Will pop in again.

What a lovely pub. Staff were really nice and made me, my girlfriend and her friend really welcome. The quiz was great fun and the drinks were very reasonable. Look forward to seeing you all again.

Good pub with a great drinks and a lively atmosphere in the back. Only downside was that the speakers for the DJ are bang next to a table in the back and when the place is full and your only options are to either stand or to sit at the table where you can't hear yourself think you're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place
Local pub. Tidy inside. Sports TV. Could be classed as a bit edgy at certain times.
