We booked a table for 5 for a friend's birthday meal. I had heard the Thai food was excellent here so was very keen to give it a try.nnWhen we visited on Wednesday it was fairly busy with people sitting both indoors and outside, and they had some lovely live music on.nnThe drink selection at the bar is pretty good, which includes some bottles Thai beer, service was quick, and the price reasonable.nnFor the meal I had Thai dumplings to start, and the chefs special noodle soup for my main. Be prepared to wait for the food, but it's well worth waiting for! The dumplings were some of the best I've had, and you get more than you would elsewhere, the dipping sauce was lovely too.nnI felt like I had food envy when the food arrived as I was the only one with noodle soup, however as soon as I tasted it my fears evaporated. The noodle soup was top notch, and surprisingly filling too. I got the pork option, but beef was available too.nnThe price was good too, coming out at around £25 per person for both a starter and main. Truly a hidden gem!
Four of us visited The Red Lion last Saturday and it was a memorable evening out. The decor in this historic pub is quirky and inventive and there's a warm, welcoming atmosphere. You would not experience higher quality Thai food in any pub or restaurant, portion sizes are generous, it was all delicious and prices are reasonable. Drink selection was fine, the Old Ale was in top form and again very well-priced especially considering the high standard of the live music that was on. The management and staff are very helpful and friendly and I can hardly wait for my next visit from London later this year.
so amazed! a traditional british pub served with authentic thai food! wonderful christmassy and cosy atmosphere. clean with good ventination. very nice service as well. pretty easy to find parking space nearby.
Finding this on a walk through the countryside was an unexpected blessing. This is best Thai place we have ever eaten at!nnThe food was fresh and incredibly tasty, there were lots of Vegetarian and Vegan options, lots of variety for those who love some extra spice and those who have a milder palate.nThe tasty, affordable value and quality over cost, and fulfilling lunch special is very welcomed! Kind and welcoming staff made our stay even more relaxing and pleasant.
Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, Thai kitchen. Unfortunately, many of the vegetable options on the menue weren‘t vegetarian as containing inevitable fish sauce. This limited choice and the dish we chose wasn‘t as fab as I‘d have expected. I wonder why fish sauce can‘t be avoided in freshly cooked Thai curry. At least did the waiter warn us, lovely guy.
