Established in 2004, the Real Eating Company is an independent restaurant and café business that is shaped and driven by the people behind it. Their energy and entrepreneurial spirit has created the business that is working today – creating jobs for local people, sustaining local producers and bringing great food and drink to its customers whilst growing a dynamic, sustainable and commercially successful company that will last.

We have Real Eating Company sites in Chichester, Horsham, Lewes, Salisbury and two in Bournemouth with more on the way.

I work in an office almost above this place and can confirm every time I have ever gone in there, the staff are always pleasant and welcoming. You aren't just "another" customer here, as you actually have a nice conversation with the staff. Great relaxing environment compared to the chain coffee shops that seem like a conveyor belt looking to get you table as you finish eating. Quality of food is amazing and well worth the cost. A must try and you will love it. Great fresh coffee too and cheaper than most places

This is a very nice and quiet cafe but the drinks are a tad expensive for there size! Food is always served here. Staff are nice and there is a chicken in a box above the counter for some reason. Cups and teapots are very old.

I was rather confused by my coffee which was served in a glass that was too hot to pick up (a normal glass, no handle, and not an insulated glass that is meant for hot drinks). However they did give me a mug on request. Having said that, the food was very tasty and I would visit again.

A quiet place with nice decor. Good coffee and food with welcoming service. Would recommend especially a place to have a conversation.
