Amazing museum! Brilliant archaeological collections and the displays are stunning, for all ages and levels of interest! I have to go back as I spent all my time in the archaeology section only... The best? It is FREE! I can't believe people don't go in ALL the time. Well done

Great place to go with the kids - cheap (voluntary donation) and the kids (aged 3) I was with enjoyed their time there, esp the touches like the dressing up clothes.

Brilliant museum in Reading Town Hall - actual size copy if the Bayeux tapestry from Victorian England. Great history of Reading particularly Huntley & Palmers and loved Roman Silchester

The new gallery on Reading introduces the long history of the town in a small area. Including some less well known episodes in English history. The One Place in Time feature is going to be interesting to see how that develops. The portrait of William Laud and of Elizabeth I are well worth seeing.
