Fascinating place if you want to learn about how local aviation contributed to the story of aviation as a whole. Friendly people their had interesting stories to tell. Hands on aircraft for small people to explore. Priced well for amount of time you could spend there.

Make sure to have plenty of time as there is loads to see. Very nice and interesting. The only thing I would appreciate is slightly less wordy descriptions.

A small volunteer run museum that celibates the aircraft that where built in the area during WW2. Opening times are a bit inconsistent so you need to check before your visit. There is one hall packed tightly with aircraft mostly from WW2 and shortly afterwards, with the wall filled with other memorabilia and other information. Outside they have two aeroplanes on static display, one is a small airliner that left service in 1984, that you can visit inside.

Fantastic visit to this museum. Really captured the imagination of our 6yr old nephew. He was able to sit in the pilot seat of a helicopter, fly a jet simulator and climb aboard a Herald Dart passenger plane once flown by the Duke of Edinburgh. The staff of volunteers are very welcoming and friendly and happy to talk about the aircraft and their history. They are very passionate and knowledgeable about their exhibits. Thoroughly recommend visiting this lovely and interesting museum, we all had a great time and on leaving our nephew asked if we could come back tomorrow.

A great place to visit and see the aviation heritage of Berkshire with a particular emphasis on Miles aircraft. Exhibits are well laid out using all the available space.
