Ravelston House

Very nice place to stay and eat. I was originally staying one night but on seeing the room, I immediately booked in for a second night. Had a lovely meal. Food all cooked fresh. Main meals in the bar are half price on a Wednesday. Staff are hard working and accommodating. A big shout out to Dean and to Michelle. Rooms are beautifully decorated. The shower is fantastic. Overall good feel to this hotel.

Stayed two nights and found it to be excellent value for money. The rooms are exceptionally modern and very clean. The bathroom and shower awesome. The bar and restaurant provide a great menu and again exceptional service. This is a professional managed establishment. Well done guys.

The Groupon afternoon tea was a great disappointment... We got four tiny sandwiches two scones two shortbread biscuits again small in size and four pieces of cake which were only two small bites big.... And the sponge was dry... One cup of tea and one coffee that was as strong as possible it was awful... The value was certainly worth a lot less than Groupon states even counting the cost of the two cocktails which was the only good thing.... The service was great as was the surroundings and the place was very clean..... Food deal not worth it.....

Noted like other reviews this hotel's standard is not what it used to be. Waited 35 minutes between courses only to be presented with soggy chips. However the manager felt that was a reasonable time! So have to mention customer service. 0/10

Brilliant food and excellent deals and prices. Service need to improve though, staff were not very attentive
