I ordered a Florida set with trepidation given the reviews. I am pleased I chose to overlook some of the poor reviews. It did take Rattan a week to process the order, but then the order was delivered 5 days later, all complete and undamaged. It looks the dogs, and is great value for money. We had to cable tie the sections underneath to stop them drifting apart, but an easy modification to make. My wife, the dogs and the cat love it.
If you want a decent rattan set that will last DON’T buy from them. I thought I was buying a good quality set comprising of 2 chairs a coffee table and a sofa. It came with a 5 yr warranty. What wasn't said was that the warranty only covers the frame. After 4 years the rattan on my sofa has broken and as the base of the sofa has collapsed I cannot now use it. I spent £900 and Rattan Direct can't even recommend a repair service. They don't care about customer service so don't waste your money
We bought some furniture 2 years ago , great service and quality . Fast forward to 2022… what’s happened? Items don’t arrive when they say they will, customer service is non existent I was promised a call back within 48 hours … a week later still waiting. A table randomly turned up today but no chairs. Quite honestly I have no idea what is happening! I understand things go wrong from time to time but at the very least talk to your customers and give them accurate information . I have posted here as the 3 weeks of emails and trying to talk to someone don’t seem to be cutting through . I live in hope that the chairs will arrive soon. I’m sure when if they do they will be nice as the product quality is certainly not an issue
Shockingly bad. I ordered a table from Rattan Direct over a month ago. I received an email with a date for delivery. I took the day off for my item so it can be delivered to me. An hour before it was supposed to be delivered I got a phone call saying my item was damaged and won't be available until next month time. I will be cancelling my order with in the next couple of days. Very poor service!
Sent a mix of leftover parts that in no way go together!!! 4 chairs arrived Friday, the second box was delivered Monday! A replacement table base arrived 2 weeks after the rest, took over 2 hours to fit with my experience, would not advise trying this if you are not handy with tools.
We took delivery of our outdoor furniture set a few weeks ago and have never used our outdoor decking area so much. The set we chose consists of a three-seater sofa, two armchairs with matching footstools and a glass-topped coffee table. Every thought has gone into the design which not only looks great but is comfortable too. The footstools are stored underneath the coffee table. What you also get is a set of hard-wearing covers to keep the furniture protected from the weather. The service from Rattan Direct was excellent and could not be faulted. From the moment of ordering to the courier company delivering was faultless, even in these times of lockdown. All items were perfectly packaged that not only protected them, but the pieces were sized including packaging, where they could all fit through our internal doorways as there is no direct access to the rear of our property from the front. To summarise, excellent service, delighted customer with a stylish set of outdoor furniture and enjoying every moment being outside!
Do not touch this company. They advertise that they have items in stock, happily take payment from you and give you a delivery date; and then when it doesn't turn up tell you that they don't have them in stock and are waiting for it to come it. Twice they gave a delivery date, before finally saying it would be the end of August at earliest before the furniture came into stock - all the while sitting on over £1800 of our money! You also struggle to get in touch if you call them from a number that they have on record for you. Took a week to process the refund. Cowboys!!!
Shameful customer service. Constant excuses about goods in other warehouse - in my mind simply excuses to hang on to your money for as long as possible. Lost count i”of failed delivery dates. Understand supply chain issues I run my own business importing from China but not lies upon lies. Be honest Rattan Direct!! We will be cancelling our order. After having bought tables chairs and sofas in the past we will now shop elsewhere. I’d highly recommend you shop elsewhere too…
Ordered the Ascot garden set in 2017. The following year I had to replace ALL the weather covers as the ones supplied leaked, cost over £200 just for covers. This year 2022 the sofa broke right in the middle. The aluminium weld has fractured on both supporting bars underneath the seat and the frames are of the thinnest aluminium approx 2mm. Considering the cost of this furniture it’s more than disappointing. This set has had only light seasonal use, by small people, is over wintered in a garage and cushions stored indoors. I cannot recommend this company at all. When I told them what had happened they told me to ‘buy a new one’!! At over £800 in the sale that is NOT an option in this current climate of rising fuel costs. Avoid and read reviews before considering buying.
This company is an absolute joke. Ordered some garden furniture didin't turn up for over 7 months. So decided to cancel the order then had multiple phone calls trying to get my money back.
