Located in the charming market town of Coggeshall, Ranfield's Brasserie regularly attracts plaudits from its clientele and food critics alike.

The inspiration behind the brasserie is proprietor and award-winning chef, John Ranfield. He has created a perfect informal environment in which to meet with friends or clients and experience cooking of a very high standard, always with top-quality locally sourced ingredients.

Like the food, the emphasis in the décor is on enjoyment and just the right amount of originality. The restaurant brings a touch of the metropolitan to the heart of Essex, but without the high prices and any hint of pretension.

Loved the eclectic paintings and book shelves shabby chic done very well. Front of house staff were excellent and had everything timed to perfection. Then there was the food! Wow I don't have enough superlatives to discrib! Highly recommended one of the best meals I have had full stop!

It was very enjoyable and lovely atmosphere u wouldn't feel you are not in somebody's house party untill you leave the brasserie. Service is excellent staff make you feel they know you and their smile stay with you after you leave,food were very enjoyable and very high standard, can't wait to have this experience again,..

It's hard to believe that nearly 30 Years have elapsed since the demise of the great Peter Langan. Yet his spirit still lives on here, and I am not just talking about the many paintings. Post Langan it was successfully nurtured by Mark Baumann, which then 3 Years ago gave way to Ranfields. No major changes have occurred - and neither were they necessary. If it ain't broke, then don't fix it, as Peter Langan himself would probably have observed
