I don't understand if the meal is spicy, why you don't mark it on the menu. The fried ho fun is extremely spicy. As a person who doesn't eat spicy food I avoid laksa but this is almost spice everywhere. Even I picked the red peppers out, there are still seeds everywhere in the meal. Can't eat it at all, it made my whole mouth numb.Food: 1/5
Yeah so the food was not good at all. I ordered through Uber eats, which took ages to be delivered to have such a big disappointment with the food. And I was really hungry. I ordered some sesame prawn toast and it was not good, I took one bite and went straight in the bin. The toast was soaked in oil, that’s all I could taste in my mouth. The prawn didn’t taste at all so I DO NOT RECOMEND this starter. Second was pad see ew, which is one of my favourite dishes but this one tasted like old noodles reheated and old. Noodles were in little pieces and the prawn was not cooked. This also went in the bin. So yeah this was my experience with this restaurant despite the good stars on Uber. I’m thinking what to eat now as I’m still hungry .
Ordered through Uber Eats, possibly the worst meal iv ever eaten, the prawns were gelatinous and pale with a weird texture, tasted like they were frozen and thawed in warm water if you can imagine that, how can you not even wok them to get a slight bit of colour on them? chowmein was like mush and i got the Thai red curry, there was absolutely no flavour to the sauce apart from just tasting sweet, no spices nothing just like sweet red soup, absolutely vile, spent £36 and feel robbed.
A small but a great find this lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. For starters we had the Rama mixed platter which we had the pleasure to try the spicy chicken wings, satay chicken, vegetable spring rolls, sesame seed prawn on toast and tempura vegetables served with chill and peanut sauce. All the items were cooked to perfection. For mains we have tried the green Thai chicken curry which the chicken was tender and plenty off. We also had the prawn garlic and pepper stir fry and we completed the meal with jasmine rice and som tom salad. The service was attentive and staff were friendly. We definitely go back there and try other dishes. Vegetarian options: There's a lot of vegetarian dishes to choose from. Parking: There's no parking there and the restaurant is on the main road.
I had booked the night before to try this restaurant, overall the dinner was good and flavourful. The starter we tried the Platter for 2 and it was really good. The dishes were very tasty. The only sad this was the waiting time we came in at 6:30 and our mains didn’t come till 8:20 we had our starters on a good time from ordering but the mains just took to long. They are clearly super busy with delivery which is good but the table service was only 3 couples when we arrived and food just took to long to arrive. Hopefully next time the service improves then I would be giving a 5 star.
The food is excellent!!! Tasty Thai dishes as well as from neighbouring countries, with strong and individual flavours for each dish. There are great options for veggies and vegans too, so every one will find what they want. The service was friendly and fast, even after we were told at the beginning that the kitchen was busy a lot of external takeaway orders go through. Super affordable, I strongly recommend for a nice meal. The room is nicely decorated and it feels like eating at home :
The taste is not bad. They made my mushroom soup into a different soup and quickly replaced it with the correct one, showing a good service attitude. The rice needs to be ordered a la carte which seems expensive. With lql
Hey there! So, I recently visited Rama Thai and wanted to share my experience with you all. I decided to order the veg laksa noodle soup, and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! I did notice a bit of a massaman taste to it, but hey, the chef must have been feeling adventurous that day. And the portion size was really generous, so no complaints there. Next up was the toasted sesame prawn toast with sweet chillie dip. While I found it tasty, I have to admit that I couldn't taste the prawn. Maybe they were feeling a bit shy that day, who knows? Overall, I'd give Rama Thai a 3.5/5 rating. Not bad, but definitely not mind-blowing either. If you're looking to try something with a bit more seafood, maybe the prawns will make a more prominent appearance. All in all, it was a decent experience!
I ordered Rema Thai from Uber Eats based on the high rating and the food was absolutely DISGUSTING. Firstly, this is not authentic Thai food, it tastes like poorly made Indian food. Secondly, the food was drenched in oil. Everything was so oily. Lastly, who puts icecream inside a bag with hot food?....SMH!! I wasted alot of money on food I had to throw in the trash. I'm convinced the good reviews are from family and friends because there's no way they can have a 4+ rating with food they sell.
Really friendly staff and delicious food. Top marks from my friends and me! Vegetarian options: Great veggie options - tofu instead of meat.
