Cute and fun place … and of course great Thai food. Love the decor, love their flavour profile. A bit different from the mainstream Thai restaurants. I really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. A little difficult to find so be on the lookout.Food: 5/5
It's definitely one of my new favourites for Thai food in Toronto. I really like the unique menu they have that makes them stand out from the rest of the others. Great Northeastern Thai food was very reminsce during my visit. Highly recommend the papaya salad & pork jowl. Warning their spice level is pretty high so I recommend lowering your usual level. I would totally come back again!
So good! Love it so much! Every single dish is perfect!! The decoration of this restaurant looks amazing! Have to visit again! And highly recommended! FYI: For me, spicy food is a bit too spicy. If you can't handle much spice, make sure to order the mildest level.Food: 5/5
Came here for lunch. Food was delicious and fairly priced for its portion. Food was served decently quickly. I recommend the pork jowl salad and glass noodles out of everything we tried. Service was okay. Water refills were slow we had to flag someone down to get it filled. We also had a confusing moment - we ordered the Thai iced tea $6.95 but instead was served the Thai slushy $7.95. Upon realizing we have the wrong drink, we asked why we got the slushy instead, and only upon asking it was then clarified that it was an additional “bonus” to promote the slushy, and we would be charged $6.95. Nice touch of the restaurant but strange on why it wasn’t announced / clarified upfront when the drink was given.
Warning: no alcohol available here! Otherwise, pretty much perfect. Dishes are loaded with unique north Thailand flavour and spice, come out quickly, and are really different from the more commonly seen pad thai/coconut curry style. Get the papaya salad fully loaded and expand your culinary horizons.Food: 5/5
Very authentic Thai flavors! For spice level, they ask how many peppers you want to be included in the dish, which is how they do it in Thailand. Portions are quite generous. The menu selection is also pretty vast, which normally is an indication of a place doing just ok in terms of flavor vs serving few dishes that they've mastered but we actually enjoyed every dish that we ordered. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try real Thai food.
Michelin bib gourmand back in Thailand, we are lucky to have one of their locations here in Toronto. Made a reservation couple of days in advance, advisable as we noticed how quickly spots filled up. We were impressed! Here are our thoughts below. Thai iced tea: A bit on the sweeter end. I let the ice dilute it down a bit. Pad Woonsen Cha-om minced pork or minced chicken วุ้นเส้นผัดชะอม [Glass noodle, egg, garlic, acacia leaves]: Really good! Very good "wok hey". Kor Moo Yang คอหมูย่าง [Grilled pork jowl]: Hands down my favorite dish. Loveee pork jowl, very juicy and soft. Tum Thai ตำไทย image [papaya, peanut, garlic, chilli, tomato, dried shrimp, green bean]: Pretty refreshing! There were different iterations of this dish, and would be open to try the other kinds. Kaeng Om Pla Ra* Chicken แกงอ่อมไก่ [mushroom, pumpkin, zucchini, dill, chilli, lemongrass, acacia leaves, cabbage]: Not a huge soup guy but this was very unique! Would order again. Lod Chong ลอดช่อง [Pandan jelly rice flour, melon in sweet coconut milk]: I am not a huge pandan fan, I would most likely not order again, but those who do love Pandan, I can see the appeal for this dish. Overall Kel rating: /5 The good: Decently priced, great food! The decent: Spacing can be limited, advised to reserve The ugly: With all the dishes that we had, the table can be a bit tight! Just an fyi
Everything we ordered here was delicious. We really enjoyed the pork jowl, pork joel salad Nam Tok Kor Moo, Pad Woonsen Cha-om, papaya salad with salted crab, Kai Kra Tiem and Panang curry. I really liked the mango sticky rice too but I wish it had more mango slices ratio of rice to mango was off, needed more mango. Portions are small though so expect to order 2 plates pp around $40pp, which is a little pricer than most places.
This is one of the best restaurants having Authentic Thai papaya salad. They have a lot of choices for the salad. The portion and the price were reasonable, some places have biggg portion which means we can’t try much dishes. Our server was very nice and he knew exactly what we wants and brought us right away. I will definitely come back to try more dishes
One of the best Thai food I’ve had in Toronto. The flavors are authentic and the wait time for the food was quick we got the food in like 6 mins! The place is a little tight and loud but it had a lively ambience. The staff were very friendly but the place was also busy so they seemed a little rushed. Not a problem at all. We got the Panang peanut curry with beef and it was very rich in flavor. I really enjoyed the Pad Woonsen Cha-om glass noodles. It had plenty of minced meat and we finished it so fast. Kinda wanted more noodles and less meat because the flavors were just that delicious. The iced tea was basic, too much ice and sweet. Preferred to have more tea. Overall, a great experience. Want to go back to try other dishes!
