yum, fresh, great flavours!!! highly recommended!!! Edit - went again today 6th Jan 2022 - Genuinely, the freshest, tastiest Indian restaurant!! Great value too! - Thursday is my lucky day now! Genuinely, the freshest, tastiest Indian restaurant!! Great value too! - "Thursday banquet" lets you choose a starter, a main, a vegetable side dish, and a rice or a naan - all for Thursday price of £14.95.... Wow!!! - I wish I could come every Thursday! but I live in Manchester... Most dishes are under £10 normally, but this is a really special banquet price on Thursdays! I chose Stuffed pepper, for starter with lamb or chicken, then "Bengal special" with your choice of meat/vegetarian, Mushroom Mutter, and Peshwari naan... all fresh, tasty, hot, and perfectly spiced medium... yummmeeee!! Try this place, if you possibly can - you will enjoy it! and you'll want to go again!! THANK YOU "RAKA" SW19... AMAZING INDIAN, FRESH FLAVOURS!! WOW!!!
Interesting unusual and traditional Indian menu. Including venison and duck dishes in non standard presentation, other more standard dishes available. Thursday evening banquet night recommended.Food: 5/5
A pleasant experience for all who dine here A real gem of a find that I will certainly add to my list of good places to visit. Ordered the Batak Desi Duck and LOVED IT, What I also liked about Raka are their desserts I personally chosen the toffee twilight ice-cream, as well as the pina colada I could easily of gone for the walnut and caramel. too The venue has a smart decor, attentive staff Very good value for money thou for some not all, expensive Will be telling friends to try this place out and I will be back. Have now been back as a group of 14 where the tandoori sea bass was mouthwatering.
Really disappointing. The food was so tasteless and the korma sauce was gel like goop that I cannot even describe the taste of. Could not even eat mine, it went in the bin.
My go to Place for Indian food Have never had a bad experience And we'll never go anywhere else Except here For my Indian food
Cosy place with nice decorating. Staffs are friendly and service good. Nice sub continental Indian food, so good for meat lovers. Starters and Side dishes are surprisingly delicious, give a try. Thursday special set price is a good try for first comers, quality food with humble price.
Very bland flavours with no spice. We had 4 different curry’s and not one had any spice even the jalfrezi was not at all hot. Portions are pretty tight. Chicken tikka had no flavour and no char to it at all. We ate from her a few years ago and it was so much nicer think the owners/chefs have changed!! Won’t be going back.
Went on Saturday 8 of us for my sons birthday food was so good great value as well service very good one observation sort out the gents lock as it sticks Parking: Off street parking easy
The meats from starter platter came out rock solid and the kebab came out undercooked. The onion baji was rock solid too. The owner /manager was shouting and screaming down the phone at a telesales caller very aggressively on three separate occasions while I was eating. The pipes for their draft beer were being cleaned and overheard the contractor say it's been only cleaned 8years ago and that the rules& regulations state that they need them cleaned every 2weeks, the manager proceeded to joke it's ok, kill more people off, anyway the corona virus is doing that . Appalling. Disgrace
Tikka masala bland, they also try to send tiny portion sizes
