I’ve been using this cab company for years. Sadly, their lack of drivers has impacted the service and the blatant lies communicated when my cab was late and then ”unavailable” is not acceptable. I missed my train but I won’t miss Abbots Cars! Good riddance I say.

No show for airport pick up from Luton. No message to let me know it’s been cancelled. Standing around arrivals waiting for a taxi that wasn’t on its way. Booked a week in advance. Plenty of other reliable taxi companies out there. Won’t be using again.

Unlike other reviews my taxi arrived- 10 mins early. I told the driver I wasn’t quite ready & he said ok but he had another job so to be ready as soon as possible!! On arrival at Watford junction I was dumped on the main road on a double yellow line behind a rail that I had to walk in the road to get into the station. I am disabled, had a stick & a suitcase!!! There is a disability bay right outside he could have used!!! Not impressed!!!

Great service. We booked to and from Luton airport. The taxis were on time and the drivers were so polite. Received text with car registration number, so very safe. Would definitely use Abbots Cars again and would highly recommend.

Do NOT use this taxi service!!! I booked a taxi, 24 hours in advance and told the office how important it was to be on time as it was for a funeral. The next day I called again as I need to bring the time forward by 15 minutes. We were stood waiting, no taxi. I called to check and was told 2-3 minutes. 8 minutes later, still no cab. Rang again to be told he's just down the road. After 17 minutes of being a no show, I made a final call to be told "10 seconds" which also didn't happen. About 4 minutes later, when we'd had to sort an emergency alternative, a taxi driver rang to say he was waiting. This situation made an extremely difficult and emotional day even more stressful as we had all our family, the hearse and the funeral cars waiting for us. Completely unacceptable. Rubbish firm - AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

I've been using them for years, excellent service until a week ago.  Since they were taken over they've been going downhill!  I had booked a taxi, was told it would be 10-15 minutes​, I then got a call from the taxi driver asking me where I was, I told him where I was, another 2 phone calls to me from the taxi driver still asking me where I was, I told him to never mind as I phoned my Mum for a lift as I was running really late by now, I had a hospital appointment!

Awful service on the phone. Was yawning, interrupting and hanged up half way through the call.

Starting a new job today, the taxi didn’t turn up. When I called they said “his engine will not start”. At this point they were already 5 minutes late. They didn’t bother to call or text. Luckily kings cars came ASAP when I called! I got on the train with seconds to spare! Avoid! I can honestly say I will never use them again.

Very expense in comparison to other companies  - I rang to comment/complain  - hoped they’d be interested - they 100% were not!! Could not have been more disinterested. Very disappointing. I used the old company of the same name for many years - never again.
