Situated in the heart of Belper, the Railway Tea Rooms specialises in home-cooked food. Freshly-baked cakes and scones are made daily on the premises. Tuck into a full English breakfast, choose from a selection of paninis, baguettes and toasties or enjoy a freshly-made Italian coffee in the beautiful outside seating area. Open Monday to Saturday, 9am-4pm (3pm Wednesdays).

Stopped at Railway Tea Room for lunch whilst in Belper. It is in a terrace house next to the railway line. Really friendly and welcoming staff. We ordered 2 quiches and a pot of tea for 2 which came to £18. Food was good but would have like a slightly larger piece of quiche. Tea was good served in lovely cups. A nice tea room to visit.

Being a fussy eater had breakfast tailored to my way.. no problem at all. Fantastic quality . And a doggy sausage  Vegetarian options: Vegetarian breakfast available.  Kid-friendliness: Great menu.  Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access round the back.

I went with a friend to this tea room . All seemed ok until I got half way through my sandwich to find the bread was mouldy. I had to spit out part of the sandwich . I informed the staff and got my money back . They were very apologetic but I will not go there again

Friendly and good service, nice food

Really quirky tearooms that is situated in a quiet alley way off the high street in Belper. Our Earl grey was wonderful as were the staff who were really welcoming and warm. We have 2 small children who can be a hand full. 1 of the ladies inparticular took a butterfly that my little girl had taken a liking to off the wall and gave it to my daughter to take home. Last but not least, the scones, preserve, and cream the came along with the tea were a contender for the best I have had.  Thanks Girls we wilk co.e again and recommend. Absolutely brilliant.

Lovely little tea room in what is essentially a house. Really quirky with some lovely staff. The only thing was the 'big breakfast' wasn't very big at all and was lacking in the variety of items. The food was delicious and very well priced but I'd have happily paid double to have more variety on the plate – things like black pudding and hash browns.  Overall great experience.

Went there and what a wonderful experience. The home made special soup was 5 star. You must try. Service pleasant. Thanks Clair. Happy days

Shocking! Worst scone ever? Used a fork to eat it in the end!
