So.....I've arrived at the station about 20 min before midday today and I needed to check something at the bus station before catching my next train 12:05 so I've left the train station as quickly as I could been asked for a ticket on the way and I was back literally 10 min after been asked for the ticket again and when I've said that I've just showed my ticket few minutes ago I've been told by the ,,gentleman" who checked my ticket before that they didn't remember and as I was on my way to have a seat I could hear nasty comments made by all of them about the care workers as my uniform was slightly visible from underneath my coat. Give some people a bit of a power and they seem to think that they rule the whole world.
Chorley town is fairly quiet and easy to walk around. A mixture of old and new businesses, supermarkets, family shops etc.
Well equipped small train station. Plenty room in waiting area.
Nice clean station friendly staff on the ticket desk
Do not get me wrong here because I have nothing against the facilities and/or the infrastructure of the station, so the two stars may not do the justice to those aspects. However, the lady behind the counter, she HAS TO BE the worst customer service agent I have ever come across. I thought it was only me, but you are free to read other reviews on here about her, people have had worse off her. I think the station management should be reported about her disatisfaction with her job, she may even be struggling to cope mentally but whatever the case, customers cannot be left to be treated so badly by her. There needs to be an internvetion, and there needs to be one soon.
Train station seems rather ok, not too clean but could be worse, the inside was clean as far as I could see, but I didn't spend anytime inside there, as the woman working behind the glass when asked if I could use the toilets was very rude and abrupt, just answering "No", when I asked why she said "if you read the sign you'll see why", she then directed me to the bus station near by. Now after looking I did see the only toilet in the train station was for Disabled people, but why not allow for none disabled to to use a fully functional toilet is beyound me.
Im sure everyone whos travelled from chorley station is aware of the arrogant blonde women who works there. Always frowning and looks fed up like she doesnt want to be there and everytime you ask her a question she either snaps at you or is just rude back. She shouldnt have a job like this because due to the signalling problems today in lockstock today we NEEDED someobe that is calm and helpful. She isnt.
Very unhelpful office staff, was at least 5 mins with one customer who wasn’t even buying a ticket The rest of us missed the train. Ticket machines at this station are rarely working so I avoid using them.
Nice little town exelent day out on Tuesday when market is on.
Nice refurb but where are the trains?! Hardly find them arriving on time and when they do they are packed during peak hours.
