Staff are always friendly and helpful, the station is clean and beautifully kept with flowers, a wall of historic information. The iconic boat is always full of plants. There is a shop which also has railway memorabilia. No coffee on site, but a stones throw from the Joseph Conrad which is a good solution.
Lowestoft train station is quite old with a small indoor part with a lot of seating outside and on the far wall is about child evacuation of 1940
I visit here maybe about 3-4 times a year whilst seeing family. The Station is always clean and tidy, staff are very friendly and welcoming. The Station has great links to Ipswich and Norwich, which makes it easy to get onward travel to other major cities. The station is in vlose proximity to Lowestoft Harbour and the Beach. There is also a Weatherspoons nearby amongst other restaurants. Bus stops are located alongside the railway station or in Lowestoft town centre.
Nice town to take a walk around, lovely beaches, well cleaned .
Station is very clean & has a few floral decorations which brighten it up. The new green/gold paintwork showing the original GER colours is a pleasant addition too. It seems things are finally looking up for this previously neglected station.
A very standard and simple designed station that is pretty close to the seafront. Each of the services usually run every hour or so and trains can be very crowded during the peak summer seasons
A lovely historic railway station with semaphore signals. Class 37 hauled passenger trains arrive and depart daily!
Just got ripped off, had child standing next to me asked for equivalent of return to Norwich, for him, I said, she changes ged me full fare, even when I queried it, saying, "Shouldn't that be £3.65 each way?", she just tookbthe full amountnand threw the change back in the chute. Not happy. Watch out.
Vert clean and pleasant promenade could do with a couple of sandwich shops although
Slowly the town is going to ruin, shame really... Let's hope the council pump some money in to it again
