Visited to see family and had enjoyable time. Lots of shops including many independent businesses that looked really interesting.nLoved the architecture on many of old buildings and being close to sea. Some great bits of old tiling on entrances and pavement that had stone with gradation that was reminiscent of beaches, gave a nice ambience to the town.nWould of loved to spend a bit more time exploring but visit happened during bad storm, and on tight timescale so didn't get to see everything I'd of liked.nThe candy shop over the road as you come out of train station was particularly great and spent over half an hour picking out treats for family and friends.
Lovely under rated resort with a great beach, history, and lots to see and do.
A small Victorian railway terminus close to Lowestoft town centre and the South Beach.nnA ticket office is open by day, along with a shop on the platform selling souvenirs, railway memorabilia, and drinks.nnThere are plenty of benches and a small covered seating area.nnLowestoft Central also has the distinction of being the most easterly railway station in Britain.
Nice town to take a walk around, lovely beaches, well cleaned .
