We were so ready for a relaxing break and were not disappointed. A really luxurious place and a definite treat. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the spa area so much. While the hotel seemed very busy there was always room in the pools and thermal rooms which were really relaxing. I had 5 treatments and loved them all, except for the floatation sound bath which was not at all relaxing as there was too much peripheral noise to spoil the experience. Breakfast in bed was a treat with a nice variety. Buffet lunch offered lots of variety and meant service was fine as starters were served and we could choose the rest of our meal from the selection on offer. Dinner was just not quite up to scratch. The wait staff were non stop but it just wasn't seamless. On our first night we wanted to order wine but by the time we had been given a wine list we'd eaten our main meals. We had wine the second night but our main meals took ages to arrive. When it's a top of the price bracket spa this needs addressing. The grounds were absolutely delightful and it was with sadness that we stepped out of our robes and back into the real world!
I really enjoyed my time here. My friends and I had a girls evening here. Started with an itinerary for the evening ranging from having some lovely me time in the saunas and pools. You should go to the rooftop pool, really good with the jets. Spa time was great including facials. I felt so pampered. Finished the night with a three course meal. I had a great time and can't wait to spend the whole day next time!
Amazing, as ever. Food and drinks outstanding and staff who go out of their way to make you feel like the most important person in the room. We stayed in the terrace suite, which had a turn down service, fresh bottle and glass of water next to the bed and little extras on the pillow. The terrace was a beautiful spot, listening to the birds and even spending a morning tanning on the sunloungers, In April!!!! Amazing trip away
We had an amazing stay. Everything was perfect and well worth the money- facilitates, food and there was plenty! the room, staff, cleanliness…. I’d definitely recommend and will be returning :
Sweet escape around nature. Very warm welcome by all the staff there. Especially porters and our receptionist. Very well - maintained spa facilities and absolute cleanliness.
Went for twilight evening experience Got a good weekday price of £66 each for spa and lunch and we had a brill time! Cosy and spacious spa experience and lovely service also.
Amazing place, the treatments are worth every penny. Breakfast is great, lunch is OK but dinners are the star of the show, everything is cooked to perfection the menu is small but impeccable. Oh and they have a different specialty butter every night which is fun! The staff couldn't be better, everyone was friendly and helpful, willing to do anything to make your stay special. Also check out the thermal spa and infinity pool. Will definitely be visiting again.
The spa would be okay for a day trip but I wouldn't recommend a overnight break. We booked a lodge room one of the more expensive rooms and it was worse than the Premier inn. Very basic decor with single beds, tiny and the only view from the windows was an ugly fence. The cheaper rooms were listed as having a restricted view which is part of the reason we spent more for a none restricted view. The lodge rooms are also outside of the grounds so you have to walk outside, back onto the main road, to get back to your room. The lunch is advertised as 3 course but it's actually a buffet, and not a good one. The dinner menu looks good on paper but the actual food is bland and sometimes overcooked and dry. The only cooked breakfast they offer for overnight guests is disgusting mini hotpots that have been left to dry out under heat lamps all morning. The staff are all very young and clearly inexperienced, there is a clear lack of training. I was told that the massage included in my plan only included light or medium pressure, when i asked the therapist to use more pressure. It was basically like having my back stroked for half an hour. The infinity pool is nice but always packed as they cram in a lot of guests.
Just had a spa day here with a friend, loved it, best part was the miracle facial done by Meeta, she’s lovely as was all the staff, thank you xx
Had an overnight spa break. Arrived at entrance to be welcomed and our bags were taken in side and once we had booked in the bags were taken to our room. Our room was of a high standard. The spa is amazing with fab facilities. The food was of an excellent standard and choice, catering for most dietary needs. We had breakfast in our room, which was a treat. I had the most amazing facial and partial body massage with Binta, who was not only knowledgeable but charming. Highly recommend
