I cannot rate the service myself & late partner received highly enough! Claire is an outstanding receptionist, & Dr Sharp, Dr Melrose, & Dr Smart have been so good & supportive to us in dealing with what was a dreadful situation. They even managed to fit me in at short notice when l was unwell.
Fortunately I did not need to visit the GP often over the past years, but the very few times I had to was a complete nightmare. Getting a booking is so hard with them, with the first appointments available only after a week or 2. Then they tell you to call in the morning at 8:30 for day appointments and sometimes you would need to phone constantly before being welcomed by an arrogant receptionist who seems done with this job. My experience with the doctors has been good, but the booking process really is 0 stars, just something that stresses you from the early morning… I’m staying with them just because I’m soon graduating and can’t be bothered to switch at this point.
My husband and I have been patients of this surgery since moving to Glasgow a couple of years ago. We chose Radnor Street following a personal recommendation from a friend. The service we have received from this surgery has consistently been excellent. The receptionists are very helpful and tactful, even when they ask you for sensitive information. Unlike most GP surgeries these days, it’s easy to get through to them in the morning, needing a couple of attempts at most. When my husband and I moved to Glasgow during lockdown the transfer of our medical records from England was delayed. My husband needed his second Covid vaccine jab and the Practice Manager went out of her way to organise it for him and to ensure that the complete vaccine certification was recorded here in Scotland. Whenever we have needed to speak to a doctor urgently we have always been able to do so and without a long wait. On one occasion when I needed an in-person appointment, they managed to fit me in the next day. Every time we have spoken with the doctors, we have felt that they listened to us with care and compassion. My husband and I have moved around the U.K. a lot and Radnor Street is without a doubt the best GP surgery we have ever been registered with.
dr. melrose is an outstanding gp. the care show and given to myself is priceless. i dont meet many genuinely nice people on my path. claire at reception is also cut from the same special cloth. 2 of the best at their jobs.
BEYOND STELLAR! Claire was incredibly responsive, kind & understanding when it came to getting my husband and I the care we needed. She is an absolute pleasure & we're so appreciative of her help!!! And Dr. Sharp was amazing! Such a wonderful doctor who made us feel welcome and very comfortable like we've known him for years. He went above & beyond for us. We cannot THANK RADNOR & all their staff enough! x
I am very dissatisfied with the receptionist at this clinic, a middle-aged woman with dark blonde hair. Her attitude is very arrogant, unwilling to help me confirm some information. It’s terrible, and I deeply regret registering here.
I would like to thank Claire for her outstanding experience and wisdom in dealing with many issue that was challenging for me as terminally ill patient. Claire is a star in the way she deals with patients she makes every effort to be on the top of any problem a patient may pass through. She always smiles with love to make patients feel happy and confident when they enter the GP practice . She never tells a patients it’s your problem with the pharmacy or ,doctors are busy or you need to contact for example the pharmacy on the contrary if there is such a problem she says just leave it with me. In fact learned about these issues from my personal observation when I visit my doctor I can hear how much she helps patients and I’m one of them. May thanks for you Claire many thanks for your help and support you are a star. I have been in different GP practice before being at Radner Street surgery unfortunately they made my life hell everything is a problem for them even making an appointment with doctors or when requesting my medication they were trouble makers. Claire many thanks for you.
Very good GP practice. I've been with them for 25 years.
I have been with this practice for nearly 47years. I have been lucky with the doctors I have been under they listen and advise. Claire one of the receptionist has always got a smile and passes the time of day with you if she is not busy also very helpful when I phone surgery . Yes sometimes I have had to wait over my appointment time but that is just one of those things.
Dr. Melrose has been brilliant in my treatment, very understanding and finally helped me find medication that worked for me after some terrible experiences with my previous GP practice. I recently moved to just outside their catchment area which is quite tight, so received a letter telling me I had 2 weeks to find a new GP. It's frustrating and considering the nature of my illness it would have been better for me to stay, but this is understandable considering they have so many people to care for.
