I visited here in April 2022 as part of walking the Capital Ring route around London. This is a nice woodland that us separated from Highgate Woods by a road.
A magical place. Please don’t visit. Watch out for the ancient curse, the rabid squirrels and packs of wild parakeets who will nick your hats.
Magical, and always open! A great place to come for trees, or just absorb the magic and majesty of an ancient woodland, with trees directly descended from the original ‘wildwood’ that used to cover these Sceptered Isles, some five thousand years ago. Wheelchair access is reasonable. An absolute gem. & café & toilet at the top end, open during daylight hours.
Lovely woodland with off path trails and amazing timbers and logs. So many levels and places to explore. Felt like being miles away in the hills and woods. Coffee shop closed but looks rather inviting....
Large wooded area, feels very secluded and is full of ancient beautiful trees, lots of small paths in the woods to explore as well as large well paved paths.
Delightful, often overlooked woods in favour of Highgate, which in my opinion isn't nearly as nice as Queens Wood.
It has that forest feeling!!! Great park, great for kids, great for dog walkers, place to relax! there is also shelter from the sun if it is too hot. Not easy for wheelchair users or buggies.
Great little park with a lovely coffee shop pavilion, fantastic to watch a game a cricket in the summer and as you can see it is charming in winter, especially when it snows!
Queen's Wood is a hidden gem of a quiet & spiritual place, beautiful at any time of the year, but particularly wonderful when the snow falls.
A lovely, hillier, wilder and less crowded alternative to Highgate Woods, with access to the Crouch End Open Space, Muswell Hill and Highgate Tube.
