The cafe is good, showers are good . The parking really let's the place down, It's full of pot holes with water in them. The money they make every night from parking you would expect better, It is full most nights so they can afford to do something about it. In dry weather it's like a dessert with dustgoing.everywhere. It really does need sorting out they are making enough money from parking to pay for it.
Food is ok, parking area is pot hole ridden. Metal seal on the back of fridge trailer had been tampered with but not broken. supposed to be secure parking?!?!? And my biggest bug bare is you can't pay by card! Had to withdraw cash from the cash machine which conveniently charges you £1.50 some improvements are certainly required here.
Asked for sausage sandwich £3. The muffin was decent quality and sausage was your bog standard cafe type.
Quagmire. Ankle deep in water and mud. Not enough lighting. Impossible to walk to the cafe or toilets due to the mud, could be dangerous. Lorry got stuck in the mud. Not fit for purpose.Could easily damage your vehicle. No security apart from someone at the entrance more interested in his computer. Avoid if possible.
Many years driving ! But my first and last time at this truck stop! Firstly it was the overwhelming smell from the toilets that hits you , then it’s the condition, yes people should clean up after themselves but not sure when these toilets and showers was cleaned. I passed on shower. Then I thought I’d try some food . Wish I hadn’t! Put order in curry rice ! After waiting some time because the only chef was constantly on the phone , I was asked did I want salt & vinegar on chips , no thanks I ordered rice . Back to waiting!! When I got back to my unit , I looked massive portions but manly rice with small amount of VERY salty chicken curry . Didn’t enjoy at all, most went to the bin. Never again
One star it's too much.Very difficult to describe reality.Muddy puddles everywhere...I didn't try anything from cafe.I preferred to stay in the cab 45 min break and I move on next area.
Good secure parking. Food is good with plenty of choice on the menu, reasonable prices
Massive amounts of parking food is delicious I had the Chinese chicken curry with half and half of rice and chips and think was better than my local Chinese takeout, will be coming here again when in Manchester.
Good place 4 take a rest...Full facilities ie toilets- showers -washing machine -wending machine -garden tables and restaurant
Brilliant truck stop, has everything you need. Staff are lovely, food is great. Brilliant nigts sleep. Secure and safe.
