Booked a double room for me and my partner, had a lovely stay. Very welcoming homely feel to the whole place. Lovely little view from our balcony. Breakfast was fantastic and again the owners couldn’t do more to help and make sure we were happy. We will definitely be back.
Really enjoyed the service from staff and the breakfast. I would definitly stay again. However, the bathroom in our room appeared to be broken, it was very hard to shut all the way closed without getting stuck inside.Rooms: 4/5
Booked a family room for myself, husband and 2 children 8 and 14 and our dog. Room was a good size with a double for the adults and a good-sized pull out couch for kids. Also had a balcony which was fab in this hot weather. Hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, couldn't have done more. Breakfast fantastic!! Will be back againRooms: 5/5
Not great. Visiting Largs we decided to go here for an evening meal. When we booked I asked for a table at 7.30pm and was asked whether I could do 7pm. I said we couldn’t do reluctantly the person accepted 7.30pm and out the phone down before I had given my name. I called back and suggested I give a name for the booking which they did. On arrival the place was empty and the restaurant had that uncomfortable atmosphere. A gentleman did come and put a light on for us but the atmosphere was shocking. The waiter advised there were only 2 steaks left. The food was very average with frozen veg. The meal was bolstered with a few boiled new potatoes despite us having chips. I wouldn’t say it was great food. We were then asked ‘would you like a desert or just the bill,’ in other words, hurry up and get out as I want to close. Not a great experience meal or visit and with so many other nice places nearby, we won’t be returning.
This hotel is a simple straight to the point kinda place. The room we had was fine and clean, and the price was fair. Special mention must go to the garden, where, if it's a nice sunny day, makes for a lovely place to enjoy a cold lager non alcoholic also available and bite to eat. The food is good, especially the breakfast.. Special mention also to the owners, who looked after us and made us feel very welcome.. Nothing was a problem and was a enjoyable simple stay.. Recommended !! :-

Visited this place for a welcome cuppa. Service and prices were good. Will try it for a meal in the future.
Went to the Woodhouse for a wee break me my wife and oor wee dug which was great . The staff were great had food and drink at the hotel couldn't fault it very relaxing not to far from the town centre. Yasmin and all the staff were very helpful and they welcomed our wee dug Tam. We will definitely visit again visited end of May beginning of June weather was great even got a tan on the Scottish coast
It served the purpose of pro iding overnight accommodation close to main amenities I was meeting others so didn't spend much time at hotel apart from sleeping.Rooms: 3/5
Lovely room. Great food and great staff. We booked the room with the 4 poster bed and it was lovely. All the staff were very accomodating and really nice. If you're looking for a hotel in Largs then I'd really recommend the woodhouse. We went in the winter and it was still great. Would be amazing in the summer
