Nice cosy little pub although quite noisy when football/rugby on the TV. Avoid eating at this time if you want quiet. Food was really nice. I had white fish with new potatoes. Not too long a wait and food nicely laid out. Only down side was we were sat at a funny table which was at a weird angle and not the most comfortable to sit at. However, had the best sticky toffee pudding I have ever eaten in my life here. Would eat here again just for this pudding alone! Staff very friendly and welcoming. Will be sure to pop in if I am ever in Stow again.

Excellent food and service. Very popular pub. Watch out for Ralph the Griffin Hound, he's a right wind-up merchant

Great real ale and warm atmosphere, but I could without the references to the bygone "British Empire" which made me think Farage or his kind could walk in at any moment! Apart from that, a superb spot to put time on hold for a few pints... :-)

Thanks to the manager who made 15 motorbikers feel so welcome on a Sunday morning by cooking us bacon rolls and some lovely fresh coffee and tea. It is a beautiful pub with a great atmosphere. Will definitely go back there again, and try the main menu which looked so good at reasonable prices. Thank you again
