Spent a night here back in September on my Wye Valley Walk. Great hospitality, nice big room, clean and well equipped for the price.

400 year old Inn given a Tudor look in 1920s. Apparently the oldest fireplace in Monmouth. Interesting "strapped" ceiling in part of the bar.  Lath & plaster on a wooden frame lifted into position using leather straps. Comfortable clean room and friendly landlord. Good breakfast. Good value for money.

Decent pub with a lot of history. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Very welcoming staff. Wouldnt hesitate to stay again.

Came here with a group of friends whilst visiting the area. Great little pub and the staff were very welcoming. I would definitely come here again if I am in the vicinity.

Helpful landlord, ideal spot for accommodation on Offa's Dyke path. Simple, clean, quiet room. Hearty cooked breakfast. Great price
