Cannot give enough stars for this pub. Always a warm and friendly welcome for us and our pooches who even get their own pot of treats. The food is delicious, hot and served quickly. Please support small businesses especially those doing their very best under challenging circumstances.
Had the best Sunday dinner I've had in ages. Beef just melted, didn't have to ha e a work out to cut it. Lots of lovely veg and homemade crumble for pudding. Very busy 12-2 but they serve lunch till 4 or 6 I think. Best book thou.
Lovely pub! My parents live in Basingstoke, and when I visit we often head to the Queen for drinks and dinner as it's such a warm and welcoming place. It's got that old-time, duck-to-get-through-the-door feel which I personally love in a pub, it has loads of character and feels well-kept as a pub of this sort. The food is always good, and the staff are really friendly and attentive. I look forward to my next visit!
Great traditional country pub. Friendly welcome and quick service. Food was really hot, tasty and plentiful. Also great value, especially compared to the big pub chains. Hard to fault, although there wasn't a huge selection of real ales. However, there were about 40 different gins available! Car park is a little cramped, but then there's plenty of on street parking along the road if it's full.
This is a lovely pub. The Sunday dinner is delicious and you get decent sized portions. The chicken Sunday dinner in particular comes with a large piece of chicken. The drinks are also nice and it’s a reasonably priced pub.
I joined friends for Sunday lunch. The food was lovely, very well presented and lots of it. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. A really enjoyable visit. Will definitely be returning.
Wonderful secluded country public house in a delightful little village. Great food, good beer and some of the best customer service I have had in a public house for a very long time.. well worth a visit if you are in the area.. I will certainly be returning.
Amazing food, great portion sizes too!! Staff were very friendly too. Will definitely be coming back!!
Lovely building, excellent food, and first class unobtrusive friendly service. Highly recommend this pub.
Really charming, small and quiet, perfect for enjoying a lovely classic pub meal. The lamb shank was so tender and tasty, I definitely recommend.
