The children here are great assets to the school. When asked, they knew what they were 'doing'. Most teachers are great at their jobs but some get off task while teaching. Would definitely come here if i had the chance.

This school in some cases fails to provide basic physiological needs. Some areas of the school lack adequate heating facility and food and water are usually provided even though the quality of such items is poor and overpriced. Security needs are not met either, the 'security system' at the school is poor and easily breakable and I know from anecdotal evidence that it is very easy to access the school without authorization or prior permission. The school attempts to provide social needs however they are in some cases unable to provide for some people who need more social/friendship needs. The school does succeed in offering opportunities to make friends however these opportunities could be substantially extended. The school somewhat succeed in providing esteem needs, in some cases students feel a feeling of prestige and accomplishment, however i feel that the school is overly academic and for students that don't excel in academic subjects esteem needs are somewhat lacking. The school attempts to fulfill the esteem needs of the students but on a management level fails spectacularly however esteem needs are met on a smaller scale (e.g. one to one conversations with teachers). Finally I think that the school ultimately fails to provide more advanced self actualization needs. I do not feel that the school allows students to reach and realize their full potential especially in creative activities. Self actualization at the school seems only to occur in high level academic environments and I dont think they understand (especially on a management level) how to provide self actualization needs for lower performing students or students who aren't very academic. However these are just the things that QEHS can do to improve. They do a lot of things well despite being driven purely by results (this is clearly evident as a student of the school). Their teachers are generally very nice, and of a good quality. The atmosphere is usually positive and favorable. And I solely believe that if they had more money they could solve many of these problems that I have identified. I would generally say its an effective school for myself and 'better' than others in the area.

I live close to this high school and have a child that goes to the school. The children are generally very nice and the teachers are extremely helpful. Its a real shame that there is soo much emphasis on grades. I know two children. One currently doing their gcse and another doing a levels. The grades achieved as a school are always great but the pressure put on them is emence and over the top. Its a grades driven school with a lack of care for the individual child they are dealing with. The school is also looking very warn out. I will not send my second child here. Unfortunately its very over rated.
