Just had breakfast - a breakfast burrito - and could not be happier. Big, full of really tasty ingredients and well seasoned. Coffee is nice and there's a good choice of leaf teas too. This place is really clean. A lot of pride is taken and I like that. Just a brief visit to Newcastle, but I think I got lucky with my choice of breakfast.

The best English breakfast I've ever had and it's not even close! The price is fine because of the large amount of food you get in return. Nice and chilled atmosphere even when it's full.

Well we've definitely found a new favourite! You start off with a friendly greeting and are handed a menu when you arrive, choose your food and drink and wait for a table. If it's anything like our experience your wait won't be long. The lady who greets you behind the counter, while simultaneously making coffee, pancakes and settling bills is a master of her craft. If she says your table will be 5 minutes you could set your watch by her. I definitely don't want to take anything away from the other staff however, who were very friendly and never stopped! Our bums had barely touched the seats when our food arrived. One mountainous traditional breakfast and eggs hebredian perfectly presented. I can't say anything other than they absolutely nailed it. I'd love to report clean plates all round, but my breakfast was bigger than me. We'll certainly be back to sample other things from the menu since breakfast is served all day on a Sunday!

Nestled under a viaduct just off Newcastle's quayside, the Quay Ingredient is perfect for a coffee and a quick bite, or a tasty home made cake, with friends. The atmosphere is unhurried, and they were still happy to serve a couple who came in 15mins before closing time on a Sunday afternoon. The coffee and teas are prepared by people who know what they are doing and have some substance to them.

Wonderful food and well worth 15 minute wait for the table. Great price for the quality.
