I bought premium quality turf from QGS around September/October time I have waited until January to give my feedback as the delivery took couple of days to be delivered, some of the turf will lose a bit of the moisture, accordingly you have to lay the turf as soon as it arrives and water it , I highly recommend following the website instructions to get the best results. In my case I bought high quality top soil and fertiliser to get the best result. The top soil from another company it’s just because it was cheaper and good quality but I’m sure they do provide high quality top soil in QGS.
Excellent service all round. Competitive pricing and high quality turf. Customer services extremely helpful with getting my order delivered to us on time, even though I'd missed the cut off put for express delivery. Would use again in a heartbeat.
While delivery etc was as planned - the response to finding glass within the soil and on top, was frankly poor. While I don’t know whether this was prior to loading, or in transit, the response from these guys is baffling. 7 days to reply, 14 from the original email saying it meets certification. Not good enough.
We ordered turf to be delivered on a specific day. I took a day off work to be home for delivery and the turf did not arrive. It came the next morning which meant we had to cancel plans. While the quality of the turf seems good we would not order again because of the unreliable delivery.
Received a 2m3 bag of pine nuggets bark. Full to the brim & no fines in amongst it amazing quality product I will definitely use this company again
QGS supplied my next-door neighbour with 4-ton bags of soil. upon delivery our grass verges were trashed as their delivery agent unnecessarily drove across the grass causing huge furrows. I raised this with QGS who were not interested and blamed their agents. Avoid at all costs
I ordered a bulk bag of compost. My address is in a remote location but readily accessible by 7.5t vehicles such as skip wagons, brick deliveries, vans, etc. After my order was placed and paid for I got a call to say the driver was hesitant about going to the address due to access issues. I assured the person on the phone we have plenty of deliveries to the address on 7.5t vehicles without any issues. I asked them to try and in case they don’t feel confident delivering here they will have to take the order back. I was told this would mean I have to pay an additional £75 return fee. Now I have to go through a refund procedure and look for another company with better skilled delivery drivers.
Rang up moaning about delivery. Basically if the driver doesn’t feel like it will charge return fees. Lorries and large vehicles deliver to this road all the time. 10 mins later a separate person phoned for exact same thing. Got a refund and will order elsewhere. Poor service really.
Very good service. Good quality normal turf. I had meadow turf as well so looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Driver was a lovely man, polite,and friendly
I’d recommend this outfit. Good quality soil and no problems with delivery. Only issue is working out how much to buy. Their on line calculator is based on loose soil. I specifically asked by how much it might settle in a fairly deep raised bed. They couldn’t tell me, which I think let’s them down a bit. The calculator suggested 3.5 jumbo bags. Actually needed 5 full bags. Might still need more in a month or two if it settles further.
