I was struggling with my technique on some of the equipment, and he was extremely helpful in showing me the correct form. I also had a bit of a mix-up with the entry code I brought, but Vasil fixed it immediately with a cheerful and friendly attitude. He really added to the positive atmosphere of the gym.nThe gym itself is great and clearly offers excellent value for the price. I was pleasantly surprised by how much space there is—considering we are in an area where space is at a premium, it feels open and well laid out. Even when it’s busy, there is a calm community feel, and you can still get onto the machines without a problem.nThe equipment is perfectly good quality and the whole place has a nice, welcoming vibe. I’m a new member and I’m really enjoying the facilities and classes here, however the issue with the parking is that the signage inside the gym should be changed. For new members there is a lack of clarity on whether your car should be registered regardless of the time of day, or if you need to only register specifically between 22.10-5.30. The signage needs to clearly specify that you should register at all times. I’ve visited the gym a few times now and wasn’t aware that I needed to register my car regardless of the time of day I’m visiting, and regardless of if I stay within the 3hr limit. I’m dreading the incoming parking fines I’m likely going to receive now. Please can the signage be properly updated so members know to ALWAYS register their car not just between 10pm-5am.
Not very clean, for some odd reason the speed on the treadmill cannot be increased all in one click- for eg your on speed 4 and yiu want to increase to speed level 10. You cant just click from level 4 to 10. Their treadmills stop every 2 levels for a few seconds then you need to re-press the up button again for another 2 levels!!! Never seen anything like this in any gymnThen I had an issue cancelling my membership which I did before deadline day - and their site wasnt working . They then made me for a month for which I guaranteed I will not be using their servicesnnVery poor in my view. Better gyms out their. I certainly wouldn't recommend this gym based on all the above
The gym is quite open and spacious and there is ample space between each equipment which provides more than sufficient amount of privacy for me to train which is a good thing. Equipment levels are fine. The gym can get quite busy peak hours early mornings. What does concern me is the cleanliness and hygiene levels in this gym most notably in the ladies toilets. For about two weeks there has been no toiletries no tissue paper and soap and I am assuming this is the same in the other toilets in this gym. People have obviously been using the toilets during this time. I am sorry but this is disgusting at any level not just in a gym but in any industry. And then to think the number of times people have been using the equipments and touching surfaces in the gym – this is a perfect breeding ground for illness and infections. Ideally everything in this gym needs to be thoroughly sanitized. You can’t promote health and wellbeing if the basic sanitary isn't met. I have had to sanitise everything in my car and wash everything I use after going to this gym although I now use gloves when training. Before covid there was only just one large national recognised gym operating in Thurrock which was this gym. We now have another one just cross the road from here and another large national franchised gym due to open soon inside Lakeside Shopping Centre. My point here is its now getting more competitive here than ever before with many franchised gyms operating here and people have more choice than ever before when deciding where to go. Bottom line is if one can’t deliver the right service at least one of the others will and no one can afford to lose members especially in this current economic climate. I apologise if staff are reading this and offended by my comments but I have no idea who works in the gym and speak to about this matter.
I’ve been at the PureGym almost 2 years. Since then prices gone up service gone down. Not the best facilities. They have reduce the shower heat, cold water. Speed of the shower is very slow. Changing rooms are dirty.nEquipment not sufficient for, some of them are broken, not bothered to fix. you have to wait for someone else finish their raps. Not various equipment as well. Drinking water tap smells.
