From the moment my experience started at Proposals it was outstanding, the team were extremely helpful in finding the perfect dress and helping me customise it to my needs. Due to Covid we had to postpone and I collected my dress, and kept it at home until I was ready for fittings. After my first fitting the dress was amazing and fitted perfectly and then I had different things added to personalise my dress. The team were amazing and listed to all my needs and my dress was perfect thank you so much for all your help. I highly recommend! Lisa Clark x
Everything about my dress was beautiful. I knew I was looking for a dress that was a bit unique and different and Proposals had the perfect dress for me. So many beautiful dresses to choose from. I never felt rushed making a decision in the shop and staff were helpful with advice. Choosing a dress can be a bit overwhelming until you get into the swing of it but everyone was very friendly and offered advice when needed. I Have already recommended Proposals to a friend.
Sadly after my dress arrived the bodice was altered in such a way that the statement Lena back was raised too high and therefore the dress didn’t look or fit as it should before and after. I think I cried for 2 days solid knowing after 8 months of waiting, the alterations wrote off the dress less than 2 weeks before the wedding. The shop allowed me to take the shop sample instead, however rushed the hem alteration of sample leaving the skirt too short and the underskirt showing. The shop did hand sew the hem up repairs, however I was charged for the original dress alterations and those to the sample £240. Happy with how I looked on the day, I sent my wedding photos to the shop as a thank you for the sample and to promote the Lena dress. However, the photos have not been included in the real brides while other July brides have. Doesn’t feel great.
My experience at Proposals was amazing and I can't thank them enough. From the very beginning the atmosphere was very welcoming and their professionalism and expertise helped me find my dream dress. Throughout my fittings the service I received was second to none. I have recommended Proposals to all my friends when they get married. We had an incredible wedding day and everyone commented on how beautiful my dress was. I absolutely loved it.
I cannot recommend Proposals highly enough. From the first appointment to picking up my wedding dress the staff were friendly and attentive. They made looking for dresses a really positive experience and helped with any nerves I had. Thank you proposals for making finding, and fitting my dress such a wonderful experience!
I just got the preview of my wedding photos and the dress looks amazing!! Everything was perfect thanks to Proposals there’s no way I can thank the ladies enough, it has been an amazing experience from start to finish. I have already recommended the shop to numerous brides and my sister-in-law to be bought her dress a few weeks ago and she is so happy too. They were so kind and helpful and my one-year-old niece was poured over by the ladies when she came for a fitting with me which was lovely! Service is second to none.
Would 100% recommend Proposals to all brides looking for their dream dress! Sue was lovely in helping me find my dream dress, and incredibly patient when I was going back and forth between two, letting me take as much time as I needed. Ashley did my dress fittings and worked so hard to make sure it fit me perfectly, even scheduling an additional fitting in. After my wedding got delayed several times due to covid the whole team were also so understanding and lovely, and did everything they could to help me, doing extra things such as storing my dress for as long as they could. They even comforted me on a particularly emotional, tearful time! Proof that the ladies here really go above and beyond in making their brides feel special. On my wedding day itself I couldn't have been happier with my choice of dress and how it fitted me. Thank you so much to Ashley and the team xxx
I cannot fault Proposals and am shocked to see that they have any negative reviews! We had spent the day looking at other stores in the area and proposals was our last stop and i am so glad that I made an appointment here! They were all so professional and welcoming from the minute we walked through the door. All the staff worked really hard and i felt that they genuinely wanted me to have the perfect dress for my big day! I was able to try on lots of different dresses, some were picked out by the fitter once they knew the style i was going for and i found the one I loved! For each fitting I felt at ease and very comfortable, they were brilliant! Everyone commented on how lovely my dress was on the day and that is definitely down to Proposals and how professional they were, as they made sure that I was happy with the dress and recommended only the alterations that made the dress fit better! I have recommended it to every friend that has got engaged since! Thank you all!
Stepping foot in proposals is such a magical experience, one I will never forget. The independent, family run business and all the team that work there exceeded my expectations beyond belief. They have an incredible variety of stunning dress’s as well as gorgeous accessories. They made me, my family and friends feel so welcome. They are all so kind, caring, thoughtful and actually take such an interest in finding out about your wedding day. They were all so helpful from start to finish, responded to questions in a timely manner and went the extra mile to ensure my wedding day was perfect!! Even after my wedding, they took my dress, had it beautifully cleaned for me and boxed it all up with after care instructions until I move and I can have it pride of place in my hallway. I wasn’t the easiest of customers, I am extremely fussy, indecisive and often change my mind. I also lost quite a bit of weight for my wedding and they had it altered for me so it fitted perfectly. They even had amazing ideas on a back piece I bought and turned it into cap sleeves for me - my dress turned out to be my dream dress that I had been imagining since I was a little girl... I could not recommend them enough! Not only did I have the perfect dress, I can honestly say the experience added to my wedding and I will always look back with such fond memories thinking about my wedding shopping experience. Proposals were perfect when helping me to find my dress. I was nervous, and had no real idea of what I wanted. They were patient and considerate and really talented in knowing what would work. I found my dream dress on my first trip, all thanks to the staff at Proposals. I can't wait for my fittings so I can wear it again, and know I will look brilliant for my wedding.
