I made the trip to Chichester store yesterday to return some shoes I had bought online, as my daughter is having a long anxious wait for her refunds to go through. I spoke to Willow, who facilitated my PayPal refund by contacting head office, and today the money is already in my account. I wanted to thank Willow for her efficiency as I had been concerned that I may not see my money again! Now hopefully the systems centrally will soon catch up on their backlog and also process other peoples’ long overdue refunds. thank you, Willow!

Not sure where all the negative comments come from. I visited with my Mum, to buy shoes for her. The shop was fairly busy, but we had all the help we needed. Cameron, who looked after us, was spot on. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, and gave us just enough attention without being a nuisance. Mum was put on the foot scanning machine to help us find the best fit for her, and we had the readings emailed over immediately for future reference. The shoes she wanted were out of stock in the shop, but available online, so Cameron ordered them for us for home delivery with no extra fees, and explained the whole process, including returns and refunds. The parcel arrived within a couple of days and the shoes fitted her perfectly. Overall, we had a really great experience shopping here. I would definitely recommend!

Got a pair of shoes where by one looked liked it had been used as a display model. Leather all worn the stitching didn’t even look right. Had issues trying to return was told it would have to be at my cost and they would then be inspected. I did eventually get a pair that was better made and not charged for postage but the hassle and poor customer service would stop me from returning although a really comfy pair of boots

Support the high Street, Hotter Shoes have offers on shoes you can not get when purchasing on line.  Tourist sandles £49 on line as a sales price,  visit the shop and it will cost you £29

I ordered three pairs of shoes online but generally buy in store. Returned two via Chichester store as going in town for several reasons but was told  to not use the store for returns only. I explained that going to town was not convenient on that occasion only to have it repeated that the local shops will close if not used! She then said a return wasn't possible without her seeing an email I had the invoice showing order number and therefore they would have to go back by the next van delivery. Some time later I received a refund less a return charge. Today head office have confirmed that the invoice alone was sufficient, have refunded the returns charge and apologised on her behalf. Maybe the woman who I assumed to be the manager should take it up with Hotter if she doesn't like them offering website service too.

Have bought my shoes for years all good quality however just bought  two Leanne ladies shoes on sale, on line, totally different quality,  rubbish, not the same comfort , feel plastic but imagine they won’t leak, for me ok for walking the dogs on the beach, do they have different shoes for sale items, will only now buy in shop so I can check quality

Found them to be unfriendly when I wasn’t able to use their hand sanitiser due to my sensitive skin I had already used my own before I went into the shop, not very understanding and quite rude, won’t be shopping there again, a new shoe shop has opened up directly opposite so they’ll have my custom from now on.

I have tried to contact the store by telephone to avoid an unnecessary journey. However the phone rings and rings then goes into fax mode and switches off! Four attempts to no avail!

The staff were so helpful and nice, really helped me find the right shoes for me.
