A decent shopping centre with an array of shops to explore including b&m and Oasis. There are all sorts of little handy shops dotted about such as the shoe repairers with key cutting service. There are food spots here and lots and lots of other stores etc to explore. I would probably say that it was a bit better back in the day for shopping and exploring due to a wider variety of shops, but it is still worth a visit as there is still a decent variety of shops here. I used to love the Oasis market in the 90's with all the little weird and wonderful shops. Haven't been in there for years! I need a revisit actually!
This area is surrounded by shops including B& M and food places. It has a seating area for grabbing some lunch and having a chat with friends
Square Shopping Centre in Birmingham offers a convenient shopping experience with a variety of retail stores, eateries, and essential services. Located in the heart of the city, it provides easy access and a comfortable atmosphere for shoppers. The mall features a mix of popular high-street brands and local shops, catering to diverse tastes and budgets. Additionally, the food court has a good selection of dining options, making it a great spot for a meal or a quick snack. The centre is generally well-maintained and clean, with adequate facilities such as restrooms and seating areas. Security is visible, adding to the sense of safety for visitors. Parking can be a challenge during peak times, but public transportation options nearby help mitigate this issue. While the Square Shopping Centre may not be as expansive or luxurious as some of Birmingham's newer malls, its central location and range of stores make it a practical choice for everyday shopping needs. Overall, it delivers a pleasant and efficient shopping experience, suitable for both locals and visitors.
Great mix of shop's even there is only a few left after the market stall's packed up and left either through high rent And rates or due to council health and safety issues..! Still a good place to shop and with Oasis Indoor Market still thriving also great to hunt for a bargain or something unusual . Great design and quality of clothes and outfits, jewellery, phone stall's , get ya nails done . Just a great place to have a good mooch . And in the square you've got B&M's , cash generator Got a Bluetooth 6000w speaker twin with 3 disco ball light's and a strip of LED lights down the front all with a excellent quality MIC ALL FOR £100 POUND . Give it little look ya never know what you might find for yourself or friends and family too.!what ya waiting for Majority of buses drop you right outside it so why wait..?
Some good alternative shops here along with some scruffy looking bargain shops. They sometimes have entertainment in the centre square like making it into a beach for the kids. Today they had deck chairs out and a big screen tv showing Wimbledon. There is a very large B and M store here which is a place I usual visit when I venture over to Birmingham. There's a lovely chippy on the street just below the square too.
A few shops that abit different plus b&m as well as some where to grab food. I liked the green area in the middle. Was nice to be able to take a break and have a drink and eat in the seating area away from the busy town.
Wetherspoons. Dirty tables not regularly cleaned after previous diners, after waiting ages for my preferred table. The lemon and herb chicken was undercooked, with a slimy skin, and certainly not worth the £12 something price. The steak and chips were'nt hot, and the fat was tough and crispy. I used to enjoy the breakfasts here and their previous reasonable prices. I don't think I'll bother again!
Good place to visit. Different people come around. Huge variety for shopping and eating. Banks, mobile shops and many more for day out.
Some shop units are okay coffee shop in open square not bad places to have coffee it's places for the fashion students if they are in vintage clothes to buy my mate used to buy some his designer gear from the designer shop in square back in days it may look a bit run down got old 80s shopping feeling about the places if you are walking past the places it if old school football casual there units that's sales old school 80s 90s sports gears pop down it may bring back old school memories from getting chase by the police causing mischief on the terrace stands vintage brand trainers also available if u wanted some u can gets sum
