Yesterday I had a lung biopsy with Dr Richards & his team, absolutely amazing, everyone was so friendly & I felt so comfortable, although I had a bit of funny turn after the biopsy everyone was so professional & the after care was above & beyond, sorry if I spoilt your birthday Dr Richards
Stayed in the Peony Suite and wow, superb care, fantastic nutritious food, all staff professional, friendly and really kind. Thank you and let's hope the Tories fail in their decimation of our wonderful NHS
My 90 year old father recently received excellent service in Opthamology by Dr Onyekwelu. She was caring and patient. We appreciate everything you did for him. The staff in your hospital are always so very kind. Diolch yn fawr. Margaret Jenkins
Staff as one would expect from our hard working NHS is very good.
It’s 9 pm New Year’s Eve my wife had just come back from here in tears she’s been made to wait for 3 hours in agony with cystitis for anti biotics .after 3 hours was told there was none there ?.quite frankly the attitude she had to endure was disgusting…. And can anyone tell me why receptionist’s act like they own the place !!!!
Would’ve been 1 star, however, the medical staff on the day were good. Although I found reception staff quite rude and very unfriendly. Waiting for important results, at the time I was told 1-2 weeks, I called back after 3 weeks and was told the results take 2-3 weeks. Now, 6 weeks later, rang again and was told results take 6-8 weeks. They change the timings depending on how long you say you’ve been waiting. Reception staff are blunt to say the least and would benefit from training in dealing with the public. I’m left in limbo as the results determine what medication/further treatment I need. Being new to the area this is the first time I’ve dealt with this hospital, stark difference from others I’ve used, very poor.
I had my left kidney removed because of a "mass of something" probably cancer and will find out in about 2 weeks. The staff, from surgeons to the domestic team were fantastic and I was well looked after. I really can't find the words to thank you all for looking after me during my stay and also surprised how quick I pulled through my operation!!! You guys are all super amazing!!! Dioch i ti pawb! X
My mum spent the last couple of months of her life in Ward 5. The staff were exceptional with the care they provided to her. I cannot praise the compassion they showed the family during these hard times.
Just returned home from a stay in Peony Breast Care Unit. The care and attention I received from the surgeon and his team of nurses was second to none. the food was excellent and helped aid my recovery. thank you so much.
During my visits to Prince Philip in the past couple of weeks, I have been horrified to find a number of hospital staff casually sashaying around the hospital without masks, as though it’s just a normal holiday at the seaside. Ironically, the porter supervising the hospital entrance, who was insisting that all visitors wear a mask and sanitise their hands, wasn’t actually wearing a mask himself! - Occasionally he was just wearing a plastic face shield, which will do doodley-squat for protecting him/others by itself, whilst he refused to wear a mask! Alas, he noticed me trying to capture the evidence, and tried to hide as I took the photo. However, I still managed to catch half of his unmasked face as he quickly moved inside. What message does this irresponsible behaviour send to all the virus deniers and anti-vaxxers who claim the virus is a hoax? - The staff at PPH are not only putting themselves/others at risk, but are sending out mixed messages that are contributing to conspiracy theories!
