I’m a regular visitor to this hotel due to working in the area but living in South Wales. The staff are friendly, welcoming and personable. Rooms are clean and if there’s ever an issue, it’s resolved quickly. They need more staff, the staff they do have don’t stop and some nights they can’t offer any food service or can only offer a continental sandwich option for breakfast due to staff shortages and it’s been like that a long time now. The Senior Leadership Team need to address this and reward their hardworking staff.
Just a really lovely experience. I came up for business and stayed here. The staff were so friendly. The hotel is a bus ride away from oxford station, so you don't even need to change buses. The room was lovely. The restaurant was closed but the hotel is within walking distance of other places to get food, so it was no issue. I'd absolutely stay here again!
We stayed here for one night. They said to contact the hotel if you'd be a late check in. I rang twice on separate days but it rang off both times. I called in on the way to the wedding we were attending but there were no staff so I left a note at the desk. When we finally check in around 12.45am the guy on the desk was pleasant but said that no one had told him about the note or our late check in. The restaurant had been shut that evening due to no staff.nnOverall the room was as expected, comfy, cool and with thick curtains. Staff were virtually non existent as far as I could see so overall not a good advert for Premier Inn.nnFriends who also stayed said they didn't see any staff during their breakfast.
Perfect room. Lovely staff really friendly and helpful. Car park is small but they do warn you of this on the booking and if you turn up late and no bays left park on the hatching outside loading bay..others did this and it worked.nRooms very clean and compact. Just what you need if doing day trips in area. Did not need to use the in house restaurant as other family members had booked an air b&b...also costa coffee down road in the other budget hotels site.nWanted to add good water pressure in the shower.
Arrived on Thursday 25rh July to be told we have no chef or kitchen staff so there will only be a continental breakfast, they have not had a chef for some weeks we have still not had a refund. When we got to the room it was very cold much colder than outside I tried to put the heating on but couldn’t so went to reception a very surly woman said they control the heating and after a heated discussion she agreed to put it on. There was only one tea bag on the tray and the toilet was dirty and the room smelt bad.nAfter an hour the bathroom light started to flash so went to reception who said there is nothing they can do we did ask to be moved but the lady said they were full. The sleep was awful as the was a humming from a fan somewhere. The best bit of the experience was checking out. I have used Premier Inns before and always found them excellent so never bother wit reading the reviews. But reading them after we left our problems a not that different form other guests. I think you should be embarrassed calling this a Premier inn. It is the last time we use one.
