Beautiful hotel and all the staff were excellent, special shout out to Sean who helped my son out as a first aider. Rooms were a good size and tea and coffee provided along with milk. Breakfast was nice and filling and the pool area was nice and clean although no changing rooms for privacy. You can also leave bottles of milk behind the reception which was much needed as we had a young child. Overall I would come back and stay again
Took the family away. The lady on the reception was just moody and not very welcoming. Did not make the greatest of first impressions.The restaurant food was not good and way too expensive for what it was. The swimming pool staff were nice and there was a young guy in the restaurant who was very polite. The room we stayed in was outdated and needed refurbishing. On the final night at 3am the alarm goes off. Apparently from another guest staying there frequently this happens a lot. On the final day, we spoke with the manager who seemed to be pleasant and a nice guy. Wouldn’t go back and stay here.
We had a great stay all the staff are friendly. We were made to feel very welcome. Food from the bar was very good a little expensive but good quality would certainly eat there again. Rooms a little basic but as we did not stay in there all day perfectly adequate. Bed very comfy.
I was sceptical after reading some of the reviews, however my experience has been excellent.nThey have obviously taken in board previous criticism.nI took advantage of a Secret Escapes deal.nI had a deluxe room although small it has obviously been newly decorated and new shower room fitted to a good standard, hotel and dining room appeared clean and tidy.nI had a two course meal included.nBut I opted for the main menu and paid a couple of pound extra.nThe food in the restaurant was excellent quality and good value limited Vegan option worthy of a top restaurant, plus great service from the staff.nI had a good walk around the lake next door to the hotel. Recommend booking leisure facilities in advance, it was limited access. The pool is small but usable, with a whirlpool and the sauna and steam room the other side of the changing rooms.
We came here to celebrate our engagement, the hotel staff were so kind and welcoming they even wished us congratulations and decorated the room !nnIt's a nice place to get away for the weekend! Whilst it looks far away from everything on the outside it's an easy walk to Witney town centre.nnThey have a great pool and the food was great too!
