I have always been a loyal Premier Inn guest it’s always been my first choice whenever I travel to the UK or any city where a PI hotel exists. I’ve always trusted the brand for its great value and convenient locations. Unfortunately, my recent trip to the UK was nothing short of a huge disappointment, and it has completely changed my perception of Premier Inn.nnI booked all my 10 nights with Premier Inn between Liverpool and the Lake District, as I usually do well in advance to secure the best possible rate. This time, however, I was shocked to see that prices dropped dramatically closer to my arrival date, costing me around £94 more than what I should have paid. When I reached out to the team, it took them two whole weeks to respond only to send a cold, standard reply saying “no” and blaming it on fluctuating rates. This isn’t “dynamic pricing” it’s poor revenue management, and frankly, it’s unacceptable to make loyal customers pay the price for it.nnWhen I arrived at the hotel, things only got worse. The entrance was dirty with sticky floors and visible stains, the corridor carpets were filthy and smelled terrible, and the room carpet and bathroom floor were no better. I tried the breakfast on my first morning but gave up after that the croissants were cold, the coffee was awful, and the overall quality was disappointing.nnI even reached out via social media, hoping someone would care enough to respond but no one did. Since my remaining nights were already prepaid, I had no option but to continue my stay. When I returned for my last two nights, nothing had improved. I checked into a room without towels or a bath mat. At that point, I didn’t even bother complaining I just decided to share my honest experience publicly.nnIt’s truly disheartening to see how a brand I once trusted without hesitation has let its standards drop this low. After this experience, I can confidently say that I will not be staying with Premier Inn again
Excellent location and perfect stop on our tour of Ulverston and the Lakes. It was REALLY busy when we arrived, reception were handling multiple bookings and gave us all efficient and friendly service. Parking was not easy because of the sheer volume of cars and work vans but we did manage to get a space.nThe room was excellent and really clean, everything provided.nThere is a nice restaurant, pre-booking is required.
We stayed 12-15/09 the rooms were spotless staff extremely helpful. However breakfast was fantastic David couldn’t do enough for you, had a laugh and a natter with the chef to who was so helpful as well. Second time we have stayed here as a base for an event and would highly recommend
Lovely hotel. Really good standard rooms. However really let down by the young staff in the restaurant. I won't go into it to much but slow and not much personality. Also kitchen had for eg, chicken curry but no rice and on and on it goes. I'd suggest some advanced training and a stock of the kitchen. Service really slow. Food took an eternity to arrive and just for the winning goal... Chef wasn't trained to make deserts... I'll leave it at that.
Fab place fab staff great food lovely views especially if you walk up to monument...quiet and relaxing..village folk say morning or hi...laurel and hardy museum is well stocked with memorabilia. All in all great wee place ..thanks danny and Carolyn...
