I have booked this hotel for couple of days but I released this was big mistake, The location is good, but the room is very poor. There is no ventilation, the window is broken, and no one is present at reception to assist us. Tea bags are not available either at reception or in the room, and the cleaning has not been done yet.nnI do not recommend this hotel for couples. Please look for a better option nearby at the same price.
Wonderful location, a block away from the train station and on the ocean . Nice beach across the street and just the right place to see the sunset. You can walk to stores, supermarkets or downtown, you can also take a coastal walk for a couple of miles all up the coast. The hotel is clean with a complete English breakfast. The place was full but we have no complaints.
A lovely modern Premier Inn in the heart of Newquay. I chose a Premier Plus room for my stay and got very lucky with a room on the third floor that had excellent sea views. The room was absolutely massive! It was spotlessly clean, with lovely toiletries and a really comfortable bed. Having the mini fridge is also great for keeping drinks cold. The Ultimate WiFi was okay, it wasn’t a very strong signal, and I found the 4G to work better.nnUnfortunately, the staff seemed quite cold, and weren’t very welcoming. I chose to eat in the restaurant on 2 evenings and both nights my Vegan burger was under cooked, and presented in a very sloppy way. My partner agreed that his food was similarly under cooked and not served very well. At no point did staff check if our food was alright, even when we sent back half eaten plates when finished.nnBreakfast felt a little chaotic - we had to wait for staff to check us in but they were more focused on watching TikToks on their phone! The breakfast selection was okay, and at least well cooked. We maybe got unlucky with our dinners as it was busy when we were staying, but the staff attitude needs to change.nnOverall, the rooms are fantastic, with great views and fantastic cleanliness - but the restaurant needs to improve
Great location, rooms were ok - reasonably spacious and clean. But the front desk service is non-existent. I stood there for 35 minutes, waiting for someone to check me in. One of the staff eventually came over from the restaurant and checked me in. There are 2 self check-in kiosks in the lobby; both were out of order.nnThe next morning it was more of the same. I stood at the restaurant entrance for 15 minutes waiting to be seated. It appeared that only one employee was on duty, working both the front desk and the restaurant, which is ridiculous. I understand that times are tough economically, but if you can't afford to staff your hotel, perhaps you should be closing for the low season.
Lovely stay at this premier inn. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast very nice. Great location.nOnly let down was some guy waking us both up at 1:30am as he had a row. Reported to reception after 20mins as it was nasty. Not a lot they could do tbh unless they hear it as they patrol, and by the time we were back from reception it had 'stopped'.nIt carried on sporadically throughout the night. Not the premier inn fault.
